Food is really authentic filipino. Sisig is very good - crunchy and sizzling. Sourness and serving size of the PorkSinigang is also great.

This was my first visit to the restaurant, and I came with friends since I’m not very familiar with Filipino food. What a great introduction! We ordered several dishes, including the crispy pata, pork sisig, kare-kare, seafood Kare Kare, pancit, BBQ chicken skewers, and taro leaves in coconut sauce. Everything we tried was well seasoned, flavorful, and delicious. Portions were very generous and perfect for sharing. The staff were friendly and helpful, the space was clean, and the ambience was casual and welcoming. Loved the experience and will definitely return!

Food appeared to be prepared outdoors behind the restaurant, very close to a garbage dumpster, under a temporary tent. This raised serious hygiene and food-safety concerns. The setup did not look clean or appropriate for food preparation. Based on what I observed, I would not feel comfortable ordering or recommending this place.

Went here with my family this afternoon. They had many so many options on their menu, it took us a while to decide which ones we wanted. The food came quickly and warm. We had lumpiang shanghai and lunpiang sariwa for starters and they tasted and looked amazing. The sauce on the lumpiang sariwa was so good. For entrees, we had bangus belly sinigang, java rice, and their savoury fried chicken. The chicken, although a little dry, was very tasty. It was complemented well with the java rice. We also tried the chicken inasal and we all loved it. They also had some rice cakes on the side available for purchase. All in all, our experience in the restaurant was amazing, and we will be back next time.

I ordered 3 tapsilog for pick up, I asked nicely to not over cooked it since last time was very dry. I came home found out it’s over cooked and dry. I even gave $33 dollar tips on a $117 bill.
The tocilog had more fats than meat, the rice and egg was cooked perfectly.
The Bicol express taste bland, it used to be a little spicy.

We had a lovely dinner, but when I paid my bill, one of the cashiers insisted that I leave a large tip simply because my bill was high and she saw how much I gave. I found her behavior rude. Why offer a customizable tip option if they don’t respect the customer’s choice? I don’t intend to return to this place.

The lady at the cashier isn’t friendly at all every time I come there to pay the bill she doesn’t even say hi or thx she just throws the bill down and doesn’t even put it in the customers hand no good business like. I still keep coming back cause the food isn’t bad and the portions are ok.
Environment:
The interior shows traces of age, but it’s remarkably clean and tidy.
Food:
The food tastes really good, though a bit on the salty side—but it pairs perfectly with the rice.

Service was not great last tuesday. We dine-in for as a big group and the old server lasy was rushing us to eat out meals faster because she said that there are other customers waiting inline. Not recommended for anyone who wants to do a big party. The gratuity (tips)/ service charge is a waste for such a rude attitude

We tried to make a reservation to this restaurant yesterday but the old lady who answered the phone was so rude like seriously so bad at customer service. She didn’t even greet us and just straight up asking us what time, she also sounds mad.
The food was okay! Bulalo was bland tho.
Never going there again!!!

Easily one of the WORST filipino restaurants to go too in vancouver or the whole canada.
I “tried” coming back after 9 years since the first time did not empress me at all. The food tasted not fresh and frozen taste dishes.
After trying again just today, the presentation came out the same, the kare kare was soo thick and zero flavour, beef did not hold well together. The vegetables with the gata was packed with MSG and coconut milk- that one was okay.
The service was horrible, i had the manager come out in hopes to express the disappointment about the dishes and so instead she gave us a whole lecture that they wont be able to replace the food, that we shouldn’t come here again after 9 years if it wasnt good, go to a high end place instead of here.
Its truly frustrating that as an experienced cook and also a restauranteur back home that we specialize in filipino Chinese food… and having someone lecture us thinking that we dont know what we are talking about.
I thought that after 9 years they have improved in their dishes and it’s truly not. This is super embarrassing for others who have not truly tasted the best filipino food. If anyone reading this, i highly highly recommend kulinarya in commercial broadway.
