Pine House Bakery on Hastings offers really good baked goods. The bun I had was fresh, soft, and surprisingly flavourful, the kind of simple comfort food that makes you want to come back. The service is fair. Staff are efficient and get the job done, but the interaction feels a bit minimal and could be warmer. Overall, it is still a nice neighbourhood spot for quick, reliable pastries, especially if you are in the area and want something freshly made.
Fresh mango cake in December! That alone is worth 5 stars for me. My daughter’s birthday is in December and I struggle to find a fresh mango cake (her favorite) every year…. And it tasted and looked great!
Neighborhood gem of a bakery. Been going here forever for Asian buns and cakes. I tend to come here for mango cakes - they’re always a hit at birthdays. $56.80 for an 8 inch cake. You can preorder or buy in person.
