I work right across the street and have had eaten thing several times. Their lunch deals are affordable and portions are good as well. We also get take outs for when we crave for their matsaman curry or laksa. They do the best packaging and we always get zero spill every time. Pad thai is average and so are the rolls. If it’s your first time trying them out, get the matsaman curry and stir fry beef with veggies.

First thing to notice when walking in is the unpleasant smell, not sure what it was but nose get used to smell quickly. Fried rice flavor was fine but it's missing listed ingredients and the texture was wet. Tom Yum is alright but it seemed lacking. The service was great though. Very friendly.

Took my mother for her birthday at this place. The outside is unassuming, actually it’s difficult to know if it’s open or not. Had a variety of dishes; satays are ok, Tom yum soup was very salty not particularly good and didn’t have that sour taste either. Yum neua salad was fine although their beef was a bit too underdone for my liking. Like with many Thai restaurants locally, because of the aversion many westerners have toward things spicy , the curry is over sweet. Likely that didn’t help my system that night. Dessert was okay. Value for money was a tad expensive and service was friendly though they were swamped with it being a long weekend. In the end, I had a rather mediocre meal but worth the try. I found the curry was rather too sweet and my big suggestion is to reduce the sugar content. Not likely I will come back barring a big improvement.

First time to visit Pink Elephant earlier. The staff were nice and accommodating. The place is clean. For the food, I ordered their pad thai and mango sticky rice. Their pad thai could be better but the serving was generous. On the other hand, I honestly enjoyed their mango sticky rice! It was good! Might go back here to try their other selections soon.

DON’T EAT HERE, unless you want to eat the hair.I was waiting to watch movie in the cineplex with my friends. I thought the noodles would be served in a fast speed, so I chose this place. However, I waited the noodles for a long time, almost 30 minutes, and I found there was a hair in the soup! ????? !The most disgusting things was they even didn’t apologize! !! So don’t eat here!

This is a half cafe and half Thai restaurant.

Greatest restaurant ever. After quite a time leaving in Thailand, I can say it's as close as possible to a traditional Thai kitchen!

The food is wonderful. So full of flavour. I keep coming back. The prices are very reasonable $ 25 per person for dinner.

Not sure why it has low reviews. Glad we took our chance and gave them a try. Lunch combo was 15 and change. Portion is nice and small, but still very filling. Food was flavorful. Workers friendly and made many rounds topping up water despite it being a full house. We order pad thai veggie with fish cake and red curry tofu spring roll. We will be coming back for other dishes

Pink Elephant Thai is a great place. It has an authentic taste of the traditional Thai. The restaurant is extremely clean, it is comfortable for a family dine out. It is quick and the service was extremely efficient. I have to say, their staff were very well presented, they all delivered great customers service with outstanding positive attitudes. I believe Pink Elephant is a great place for a causal family dine out. The price is extremely reasonable. The overall taste is Thai authentic and my experience with my family was extremely positive. Thank you Pink Elephant Thai.

Ah, the Pink Elephant! This location, as part of the Marine Gateway complex, opened in 2016. At the time, it garnered a fair amount of press from the media and food blogging community. The DailyHive, Sherman’s Food Adventures, Penny & Rusty, and Foodology all put in a word. Unfortunately – and I’m sad I didn’t know this before patronizing the establishment – they unanimously declared the food to be ho-hum; that is to say, passable. In the current day, most reviews on Google vary wildly from 1 star to 5 with seemingly no middle ground. From that I suppose we can conclude that you either really love or hate this place? In a rarity, at least for me, I find myself agreeing much more with the earlier reviews on TripAdvisor, most of which note average food and so-so service. But more on that in a moment. The physical space of Pink Elephant is fairly compact, with maybe 30 or so seats in the establishment. I don’t know why, prior to coming in, I thought this place would be slightly bigger. Anyway, it’s clear they’re going for a modern/minimalist theme. The cheap plastic chairs, small tables and booth-style seating along the back wall highlights this to a tee. I confess I do enjoy the attractive mural along the back wall. It adds a splash of colour to what is, in my view, a sterile setting. The mural also highlights the fusion of “tradition” and “contemporary” in an attractive not-to-be-forgotten way. When it came to food, we ordered a number of items. I’ll touch on each one very briefly: SPRING ROLLS: These were deep-fried with mixed vegetables and glass noodles. On the whole, these weren’t very exciting. They were greasy/oily and lacked any discernable flavour at all. If it weren’t for the homemade sweet chili plum sauce, the spring rolls would’ve easily been the worst item we ordered. THAI STYLE PORK CHEEKS: Simply grilled and marinated with Thai herbs and spices, these were different (in a good way) from the pork cheeks I’m used to. In many ways, this dish reminded me of home-cut bacon. It had a good ratio of meat to soft fat and, unlike the spring rolls, actually had very nice flavour. THAI HOT WINGS: We got the “chili basil” version. The wings were good – skin was crispy and the meat underneath was juicy – but they didn’t really “wow” us. I did appreciate that the spice was subtle and didn’t overpower the natural flavours of the chicken. TOM YUM SOUP: A hot and sour soup with mushrooms, tomato, lemongrass, and Thai spices, my partner and I were split on this one. It certainly was more on the “sweet” side (which my partner didn’t like), but, at the same time, it did carry a bit of heat to it which almost made up for the level of sweetness. I did feel that the ingredients were somewhat lacking. Heavy on the mushrooms but cheap on everything else. TRADITIONAL PAD THAI: Made with rice noodles w/ tamarind sauce, tofu, eggs, and topped with bean sprouts, ground peanuts and lime. We added prawns to the dish. Like most of the dishes we ordered, this one was only “okay.” The prawns were nicely done, and I was happy to see the pad Thai wasn’t that westernized ketchup colour, but the dish overall was quite bland. We couldn’t really pick up the tamarind sauce, either. PAD PRIK KHING: Consisting of green beans and bell peppers in a “spicy sauce” (we added beef), this dish was probably my favourite out of what we ordered. The beans were cooked nicely; there was a good coating of sauce throughout; the sauce was bursting with flavour, but didn’t overpower any ingredients; and the beef was pretty good, though it did have an inconsistent cook (some pieces were quite dry). If we returned, I’d certainly order this dish again. MATSAMAN CURRY: Simmered in a rich coconut curry, w/ onions and potato (we added chicken), this dish was also another highlight. The curry was flavourful; the chicken nicely cooked; and the bell peppers added both a nice splash of colour + helped balance elements of the curry. This was another dish we’d order again. I should note that the majority of the dishes available at Pink Elephant are designed to be shared. We

The food is pretty mediocre what you would expect from a family style chain restaurant. Prices are not cheap considering the average taste of food, but I guess it’s all about the location with this place.

Seriously impressed by the dishes served at this restaurant. Didn't know it was possible to ruin a pad Thai to the severity that Pink Elephant did tonight. If you're hungry and in search of a satisfying meal, continue looking.
