Our family LOVES Local Pizzaiolo! Our kids age 22 months and 4 absolutely devour it! We are thrilled to see them as the new in house pizza at Luppolo Brewery, they are killing it in the pizza biz! Authentic Italian ingredients made by Italians, what more could you ask for? We have been lucky to try the pizza at both the Kits location and at their new Luppolo endeavor and we can't wait to see what else these guys have in store. Thanks for bringing such yumminess to Van!

Carlo and his team catered my wedding last weekend at the UBC Botanical Garden, and I couldn't be happier with their service. From the first time I inquired, Carlo was extremely kind, polite and professional. We stopped by the restaurant and they kindly hosted us for a tasting. Of course everything was delicious and we knew it would be such a fun idea to serve at the wedding.We were on a tight budget and the catering price is extremely reasonable. My communication with Carlo leading up to the event was pleasant, and the event itself went off without a hitch. The guests LOVED the pizza - everything tasted great. The staff were nice. The pop-up tent with the mini ovens on-site is really cool since guests get to watch them cook, and know that they are fresh from the oven.Carlo met a few of my requests like providing gluten-free pizza crusts, and bringing pizza boxes for extra pizzas to leave with us after we determined that my guest count had dipped below the minimum amount needed to book.THANK YOU - I'm so glad I found you guys, thank you for helping to make my wedding so special :)

We came through on a rainy weekend so we ended up dining in. We were greeted right away by the staff and a ton of pizza boxes everywhere. It quickly became apparent this is a popular spot in Kits for takeout and dine in.Local Pizzaiolo shares a space with Vera's so there are two menus to choose from. It was a pizza night for us. The tomato based pizzas didn't seem as appealing compared to the mozza based ones (a little of $20). Of the Milky Way and The Sea to Sky, the former was good but the latter with the mushroom cream was very surprising and a cut above. Both stood out compared to some other local pizza spots. They were exactly the kind of pizzas I like: very thin with a generous amount of quality toppings closer to the edge and light fluffy crusts. The caesar salad was too saucy for me but otherwise fresh.Owners and staff are friendly. Burgers also looked delicious. We will be back to try other pizzas soon.

I cannot believe I'm the first to post about them on Yelp and had to add the business,.. every time I walk by, tons of pizza boxes are flowing out the door.This place is inside of Vera's and in fact they are some sort of merged business. We ate in and that is the only knock,.. it is not an ambient place, more of a place to pickup from.Pizzas are about $20 and big enough to share but they are awesome and the meat on ours was high quality and generous. Caesar salad: nice and tangy. The pizza crust has those black spots from the fire oven I like.2 italian guys run it and everyone was friendly including the owner.To me, this is a cut above La Ruota which his risen to the top in Kits due to convenience (and also good,.. similar style), but this is better and what I'd get if buying a whole pie.No "by the slice" here, pizzas are made to order, full size only.I really like supporting this business and aim to do it more!
