All day happy hour on Sunday! Pizza whiskey highball sodas for $6, yum! Vibes are 10/10 and food is sooo good. Came right at 5pm when they opened and it started filling up, busy place! For food, got the miso tomato gnocchi (so good i love the tomato concentrate flavor, gnocchi texture was too soft though), steak tartare (best steak tartare i’ve had in vancouver), miso eggplant (really buttery and yummy but salty), and the potato salad (yum! bit spicy). The steak tartare and potato salad are very raw onion forward, fyi!

I didn’t try their pizza but I sure enjoyed their espresso martini and chicken wings. The atmosphere is fun and lively on the weekends with an upbeat vibe.

Great atmosphere and fantastic, knowledgeable service - but the food was lacking and pricey. Found myself paying $140 for two, and left hungry. Mind you, much of that was spent on drinks... but the two items we purchased were light, and cost $20+ apiece when you include tip. The Gomae was odd.. very little spinach and almost entirely green onion? Weird. Not sure I'd return here.

No Pizza? No Problem! ?❌?✨: A Night at Pizza Coming SoonLast Saturday night, my friends and I ventured to Pizza Coming Soon, an unassumingly named bar in Vancouver that surprisingly doesn’t serve pizza. Instead, it offers a remarkable array of Japanese-inspired snacks in an atmosphere that can only be described as vibrantly psychedelic. ??Upon entering, the eclectic and colorful decor immediately set the tone for a unique dining experience. The place was buzzing with a cool vibe, perfect for a fun night out with friends. ??We dived into their intriguing menu, starting with the Seared Scallop Ceviche, which was a delightful burst of flavors. The Miso Tomato Gnocchi, a fusion dish, impressed us with its innovative taste. ?? The Chicken Karaage and Nasu Dengaku (eggplant dish) were both cooked to perfection, delivering authentic Japanese flavors. ?? But the star of the night for me was the Yuzu Garlic Butter Chicken Wings – absolutely delicious with a perfect balance of tangy and savory! ??The drinks menu was equally exciting. We sipped on a variety of cocktails, including a Whiskey Highball, City Pop Daiquiri, and Negroni Especial. Each drink was expertly crafted, complementing our meal beautifully. ?? The beer selection was also great, providing a refreshing contrast to the flavorful dishes. ?Adding to the overall experience was the fantastic music selection, which kept the atmosphere lively and enjoyable throughout the night. It was the perfect backdrop for our gathering, blending seamlessly with the vibe of the bar. ??In conclusion, Pizza Coming Soon is a must-visit for anyone looking for an extraordinary dining experience in Vancouver. It’s not just a meal; it’s a culinary adventure that tantalizes the taste buds and excites the senses. The rainbow-colored chopsticks were a playful touch that added an extra sprinkle of fun to our already fantastic night. Whether you’re out with friends or looking for a unique dining experience, this place should definitely be on your list. Highly recommended! ???

We passed here many times and had been wondering what this place was. We finally came last night for a birthday celebration. There is nothing pizza here, but more like a Japanese snack bar.For food, we ordered:1) Yuzu Garlic Chicken WingsThey looked so dark that I worried they were all burnt and dry. They were not bad and quite juicy indeed. You could taste the flavor inside the meat with a tiny hint of yuzu. I wished the yuzu flavor could be stronger, same for the garlic.2) Beef Jerky DumplingsIt was rare to see beef dumplings at a Japanese place. The sauce was good with a generous amount so you would not need to worry about running out of the sauce. This could be the best item we had for the night.3) Soy Glazed PorchettaPerhaps we had a higher expectations on this Daily Special item. It was served with house kimchi underneath. However, the kimchi was cold, which cooled down the porchetta making it only lukewarm. This was a careless fatal mistake for this dish or they hadn’t thought detailed enough about it. Nice presentation though.4) Nasu DengakuIt was a small eggplant being baked until it was very soft with miso. Great texture so it was way too salty. Actually every dish was very salty, so people with special diet requirements should be more careful. We kept drinking a lot of water the whole time.5) Imanishi Potato SaladThis is a classic Japanese salad. Very smooth with some onion in it. You could taste more fish in their version, so for those who do not like fish like myself, you could skip this.6) PannacottaThis is like a milk pudding with milk crumble on top. It was not super special but very helpful to smooth my tongue after all the salt intake for the night. For Drink:1) Suntory HibikiThis is a more luxury Japanese whiskey that we do not have at home. We ordered one without ice to taste it. It was great.2) HighballThey used Suntory Tiki Whiskey which we have at home. Very well made.Overall, drinks seemed better than food. Our server was attentive but never disrupted our conversation so we appreciated it.There was a tip guideline on the bill telling you how much it would be for 15%, 18%, 20%. I assumed it was for Option 1, 2 and 3 on the machine by default without looking. I ended up paying a larger amount of tip than I expected. Not a big deal but people should be more careful.Dietary restrictions: All items we had were salty to way too salty. Those who have a restriction on salt intake should consider this when ordering.Parking: $2 per hour in Chinatown, but there is a bus stop right outside this place, so be prepared to walk a bit.

Food wasn't bad, but definitely overpriced for what you get.Service was poor, servers barely gave us time of day and had a lot of attitude. Luckily we were able to eventually get help from another server who was super helpful.

The atmosphere was good. The service wasn't great but they were accommodating. The food was pretty bad. Every dish tasted like it was made by some Western chef who, after having tasted Japanese food twice, was like: I could do that but better. The use of acid and the umami flavour of Japanese cuisine was missing entirely. Who thought beef carpaccio drenched in butter served on raw onion was a good idea? They clearly put some effort into some dishes (e.g. chicken wings were brined) but the end result was disappointing. The potato salad was insulting for the price. And my god - everything was just so ridiculously salty. If you are the type of person who goes to blnd tger for dumplings, you'll probably enjoy yourself here.

This place far exceeded my expectations. Was here for company party recently. Food was excellent and we got to try so many dishes. Staff were really great and nice. Atmosphere had good vibes. Was definitely nostalgic for me as I used to come here when it was Mitzie's. Definitely would come back for the beef capacious and the tropical drink ? I had ( just wish I remembered the name) . Sorry I didn't take any photos as I was busy enjoying the drinks and food. Bravo! Bravo!?

Came here for dinner and was quick to get off the waitlist at about ~10 mins. Loved their special I believe it was the sashimi and their classic butter yaki Udon are my recs! The ambiance was okay but it was on the louder side of the night during peak dinner hoursService was great, even though we had to wait a little while to get their attention, but food was great, drinks alcoholic like shochu or non-alc like the mocktails were memorable, and I would totally go back again. Keep in mind, on a Friday night they usually get busy so might wanna get on that waitlist pretty quickly.

Omg the food was incredible! Best fried rice I’ve ever had. Also - I don’t even like egg plant and I loved it!
