Still good pizza, but $4.50 for a slice is too much :(

I love pizza garden pizza. I've been a customer for a decade now. But their prices are rising dramatically, and the sizes are shrinking. X-large is defined as 18", by their own definition. But they make it 17". I'm so disappointed to see prices up and shrinking down at the same time.

Order received at 5:54 pm. Called to inquire at 6:41 pm and was informed the driver would be no longer than 15-20 minutes due to traffic. Followed up again at 7:02 pm, only to be told it would be an additional 20 minutes. Given the circumstances and the urgency to feed hungry kids, I decided to cancel the order. Transparency about potential delays due to traffic would have been appreciated, as I would have opted to pick it up myself if informed promptly. Honest communication is key to any successful business and this place doesn't have it.

This is what we were just delivered from Pizza Garden on Commercial St in Vancouver. When we called to ask for another pizza the Manager told us it’s not his problem and that he could care less. You can see from my review history I have never left a bad review. This is the worst service I have ever had and I need to let people know to avoid this place.

These guys make pretty good pizza but the price is just absolutely abhorrent for what it is. You pay 6$ per topping no matter what it is, and if you want it on only half of the pizza it's still 6 bucks. This means a large half and half pizza with 3 or 4 toppings on each side is EASILY north of 50$Protip; hit up hi 5 on the 2 good 2 go app and get the same amount of pizza for 9$. It's not as good but it's definitely not 40$ not as good ?

After a downturn a couple of years ago that represented a dark time for Vancouver, this place has been clawing its way back to the pizza podium. The quality of ingredients has improved, along with customer service and delivery speed. It is a bit expensive but that's pretty much standard nowadays.
