Full marks.
Great spot for anyone looking for poke. Their poke bowel was delicious. Their sides that you add to thr bowel made this place a standout.
The shop is a bit small, ideal for individuals or small groups.
The chicken in the Katsu Don is very chewy and rubbery. Quality of the chicken is poor. Similar to the cheapest option in curry houses in Japan. The curry sauce was also VERY salty. I also had the Red Poke Bowl and found that the ratio of Salmon, Tuna, Rice and Spicy Mayo wasn’t satisfactory . Too much Mayo, not enough rice and the amount of fish in the bowl is left to be desired. Average food but the atmosphere is somewhat nice.
5 stars all around - always fresh ingredients and a welcome addition to the neighbourhood! Highly recommend :)
Delicious poke bowls!!!
Definately coming back to try their katsu and gyudon bowls!:)
This place is a must-try, you wob’t be disappointed!
The karaage don was amazing! And a good deal for these days
I recently had the opportunity to try this newest location of Pokey Okey and had a great experience!
Although they are known for their poke bowls, my husband and I decided to try their new cooked items and shared 3 things: the Mentaiko Gyudon, Katsu Curry Don, and the Chicken Karaage.
The Mentaiko Gyudon was very flavorful and I really enjoyed the addition of mentaiko. The beef was tender and the sauce went very well with the rice.
The katsu in the Katsu Curry Don was still crispy despite sitting in the curry sauce. The curry had a hint of sweetness and spiciness, which also went very well with the rice. I liked the addition carrots in the curry as well.
The Chicken Karaage was probably my favorite dish! It was very flavorful and crispy, yet the meat inside with juicy and tender. I liked how it sat on a bed of purple cabbage which helped cut the grease in between bites.
The restaurant was also very clean and bright, and I loved the anime/manga decor on the wall! Overall, I highly recommend stopping by for a meal as the price was reasonable and food was tasty with good portion.
Great experience eating here for the first time. It was clean and the decor was unique. Large menu with lots of choices. Ended up ordering the Japanese Curry and it was very flavorful and the deep fried pork chop had a good crunch. The karage was great as well. A great casual option in the area.
Great Service! With a great shop design! Must try the gyudon and the cheesecake. Must try spot.
I stop here after work, amazing interior design, managed by original Japanese guy, very friendly, and amazing food, will come back for try all menu, best pokey place in Vancouver!!!

Loved their self order digital option
Katsu Don was really good!
Downtown prices but you are in East Van, so it doesn't add up.
Salmon was decent but the ratio of rice to sauce and toppings is very off (too much rice and not enough toppings and sauce).
Nice to have such an option in the neighborhood but the price and quality don't make it a very attractive option.
I like how this place offers poke bowls and other options like gyudon, and my favorite, katsu curry don. The prices are excellent and the portions are generous. The vibe inside is nice too, with a wall full of manga and posters of Japanese bands. Seating is quite limited at busy hours so come early!
I can't decide what I love more-- the food or the decor! The manga wall is so entrancing.
Service was fast and friendly. Shared a beef bowl and a poke bowl with a friend. Flavor was amazing, and we were very full afterwards.
I can't wait to come back!!
