I stop here after work, amazing interior design, managed by original Japanese guy, very friendly, and amazing food, will come back for try all menu, best pokey place in Vancouver!!!
Loved their self order digital option
Katsu Don was really good!
Downtown prices but you are in East Van, so it doesn't add up.
Salmon was decent but the ratio of rice to sauce and toppings is very off (too much rice and not enough toppings and sauce).
Nice to have such an option in the neighborhood but the price and quality don't make it a very attractive option.
I like how this place offers poke bowls and other options like gyudon, and my favorite, katsu curry don. The prices are excellent and the portions are generous. The vibe inside is nice too, with a wall full of manga and posters of Japanese bands. Seating is quite limited at busy hours so come early!
I can't decide what I love more-- the food or the decor! The manga wall is so entrancing.
Service was fast and friendly. Shared a beef bowl and a poke bowl with a friend. Flavor was amazing, and we were very full afterwards.
I can't wait to come back!!
Didn’t expect this place was a gem!
The curry katsu was so flavorful and I am a picky person when it comes to curry. The pickle was homemade and the Japanese rice is cooked perfectly. Here comes to the climax, the fried katsun was so juicy and I wish they put another piece for me…..
Anyway, didn’t expect this turned out so well and I will definitely go again with my friends.
The only thing is that they don’t serve alcohol - a cold iced beer will be even better!!!!
Very good Gyudon! Lot of sauce and doesn't skimp out on the meat, great ratio between meat/rice. And best yet, it's only $12! Honestly the best gyudon I've had outside of Japan.
