What a cool little spot to grab a drink.

This place was over priced. It was quiet and the service was terrible. Our waiter barely checked on us to the point my friend had to order her next drink directly from the bartender. I will definitely not be returning here.

We made a reservation for a large group here, and the staff at Pourhouse were extremely accommodating when we needed to update the final numbers. The food is excellent quality, particularly the burgers and salmon were cooked to perfection! Pretty great cocktails too. The atmosphere was cozy and not too loud, even during lunch time, and we didn't feel rushed at all. I would highly recommend this place to bring friends and family! Pourhouse is definitely one of the best restaurants on Water St, and they were even able to accommodate my celiac diet. Thanks! We will be back!

I've been to this place a couple of times over the last month, and the cocktails are delicious. The place has a nice, late night atmosphere, perfect for a nice, late night conversation. Definitely recommend the Vancouver.
Our bartender the last time was MaryAnne, who was friendly and made sure we were well served.

Very disappointed with the dine out menu.
How can a restaurant of this caliber serve a plate of 3 cookies and call it a dessert.
Service was very poor. We had 3 different servers, all 3 paid little to no attention to us.
Much better food and service at other establishments in the neighborhood.

Conveniently located in the heart of Gastown, Pourhouse features a lovely room, an excellent selection of spirits, really good food and the kind of experienced and knowledgeable staff that make it all work.

I had a wonderful time with my friend yesterday at the Pourhouse. The appetizers are incredible and thoughtfully prepared. It is very difficult to make a good Scotch Egg and the one they served was perfect. Their liquor menu is finely curated and the selection is vast. Being a very busy restaurant, all the servers were professional and efficient given the crowds they needed to handle.
It's nice to go out and have the option of a carefully crafted, well thought out, restaurant. Thank you Pourhouse. I appreciate the effort you have put into your establishment.

From a 3-course, dine-out menu, the appetizers were phenomenal! The mushroom parfait was rich and savoury and came with a slice of sourdough bread; while the beef tartare had a nice hint of tanginess. We had an incredible start, but sadly that was also the end of it.
The blackened salmon was bland and nothing special. The one I had was soaking in its own juices you could almost slurp it. It came with potatoes that tasted oily and blanched spinach. The flavour was just not there.
Likewise, the duck was a really small portion with basic mashed potato and jam. The jam was overpowering the duck—it was all I could taste.
The dessert was equally disappointing. The rum baba was unimpressive. The cookies although nice were like store-bought cookies that were clearly microwaved.
Service was not great either. No water refills, check-ins, and simple drop off and retrieval of plates. The only time the server spoke with us was when we were paying—obviously nothing but a “tip talk”.
It was a disappointing experience, given how much good reviews the restaurant has.

We were incredibly disappointed at this place. Despite reading positive reviews about their burgers, we couldn’t believe how that could be possible. Perhaps we had unrealistic expectations, but the burger bun was absolutely old and kept breaking. The Caesar salad was disgusting, and I couldn’t tell if it had pecans or walnuts on it, but it certainly didn’t complement the salad. The burger itself had a processed cheese taste. I would definitely rank this place much lower than other cheap burger joints.

I finally had the chance to try their famous burger. While it was cheap at $10 during happy hour, the burger itself reminded me of something you’d get at McDonald’s, which was really disappointing.
However, the servers were friendly, and the service was pleasant.
