I’m sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision. I was charged by Prive Bar for a booking at one cost, and then when I checked my credit card they had charge me more than double what the fee on my receipt stated. I contacted the business several times by email to resolve the issue, but I never received a response or any acknowledgment.
It’s extremely disappointing to have money taken with no follow‑up or accountability. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this business.

Worst place for food pick up they make you wait like hell and you get an attitude on top of that. This is the most scariest place. I’ve never suggest anyone to go there

Great party atmosphere, but that's it. As other reviewers mentioned, they charged a $500 deposit (tried to tell me $1000 at first) and didn't have some of the menu items we wanted. We cancelled one of the orders they missed, but still got charged for it. I followed up several times to inquire for a refund, but have received no response. Terrible customer service, I will not be returning.

what a scam. they come up with lots of things to charge you once you arrive which weren’t mentioned during the booking process. when we ask why, they don’t have an answer. my friends and i still went in because we didn’t have a back up plan last night but God did we wish we had one. terrible service. honestly can’t believe there is a place this horrible. wouldn’t recommend it to even my worst enemy.
I rarely leave reviews, but I wanted to share our experience so others know what to expect when booking this karaoke bar—especially for larger groups. We booked a room for 27 people for our Christmas party, and several issues made the night far more stressful than it needed to be.
When we arrived, we were told there would be a $1,000 security deposit, something that was never mentioned during booking. About 20–30 minutes after being shown to our karaoke room, our drink and food orders were finally taken. Shortly afterward, staff returned to inform us that they had no soda, tonic, or any mixers available. This was frustrating for a group our size, but we tried to be accommodating and switched to buckets of Whiteclaw, Olé, and Corona to make things easier.
Despite that, over an hour passed with no drinks. We had to follow up with the server, and only after more waiting did the buckets arrive with the original food order—at this point we had been there well over an hour with nothing served.
I then added a sushi platter for the group, but again, another hour passed with no sign of the platter. With many guests having already left at this point, I asked to cancel the order. It was clear it had simply been missed.
When settling the bill, I asked staff to review the charges because it appeared we had been billed for drinks requiring mixers we never received. We were told they had been served, which was not accurate. We were also charged an 18% service fee despite the ongoing issues.
By the end of the night, we just wanted to leave and salvage the rest of our holiday party. Unfortunately, due to the poor communication, extremely slow service, and overall mismanagement, we won’t be returning.
Garbage food and absolutely abhorrent service never go here ever!

$500 DEPOSIT
Went there for their $25 karaoke night. The front desk girlie told us that it was in fact $70 because we were a long week-end (Monday was not a holiday). She required us to make a deposit of $500. FIVE-HUNDRED deposit for a karaoke bar? When asked to explain why she couldn’t.
Would not recommend.
We went to Switch karaoke in downtown instead that was absolutely perfect.
No AC in certain rooms. 18% mandatory tipping. Shitty machines. Why would anyone go here?

BE AWARE This place is a scam. They overcharged me by more than $100 and refuse to give me my money back or communicate with me. They’ve been stringing me along for days now and the manager will not talk with me.

Lots of karaoke rooms! Drink options are limited. There’s an arcade as well for those who don’t want to sing. Outdoor balcony patio with decent views. You can ring a bell for service but the server will take their time to arrive (might be short staffed).

Worst service. Good karaoke.
We were 4 people and booked the smallest room available (for 10) and an automatic 18% gratuity was added onto the total room rental... Our mics kept dying too. It was fun overall, but was not worth $250 for 2 hours.

We booked a karaoke room and found out at check out that the mandatory 18% gratuity is also charged on the cost of the room, so when they say $100 / hour, they mean $118 / hour.
Otherwise, the experience was just okay. Two of our mics died during our reservation. Rooms are fine and music selection was good. Just wish they were more honest about the pricing.
