Fairly pretentious setting now with doormen who try to control the bar in an effort to get tips to gain entry. I lived across the street and it used to be one of my favorite bars, but over time the doormen seemed to get aggressive with randomly charging cover or hinting to get tipped (which they put into their own pockets) so that people can get in without a wait. Cocktails otherwise are pricey but well made. Reflections upstairs on the other hand is much nicer, treat people more like a vip and the setting is more relaxed.

Run by greedy bastards. I've never been inside. $20 cover charge to get into a HOTEL BAR? I don't think so. From what I hear, they charge you even if you are a hotel guest. Wrong way to run a business. Zero stars.

We had just tried out the Art Gallery food truck festival, which we loved....but it was SOOOO cold! And there were few places to warm up near by...so we thought the Georgia Hotel would have a place (the premonition bar/lounge) to get us something warm to drink and a nice place to relax. However, we weren't treated very nicely. I understand that we weren't dressed up, mostly in jeans and winter jackets, but still...the male host barely looked at us and made us wait for some time while he needed to make table adjustments for our party of six. We all ordered the classic Georgia cocktail and wine. The cocktail was so yummy! Very light and airy, and you tasted nutmeg with the gin, but also citrus notes, unlike anything I've had before. They also provided a bowl of complimentary nuts. In any case, we enjoyed our conversation and little corner with pillows and quiet atmosphere but can't say I will ever be back for the service. We spent over $130 for 5 drinks....but that doesn't seem to be enough here.....very disappointed

Great location,... Jennifer was really good, very attentive to her guests. And beautiful live music. Must visit place.

What a secret little gem. Very impressed. The Georgia hotel was one of the most pleasurable cocktails I've ever had.

Drinks and service were excellent, a bit pricey, but it's Vancouver

They are very stingy on the drinks. I was served a the last bit of La Reserva tequila, which I'm ok with as long as they give me at least a full shot. Unfortunately, the shot I received was actually 0.8 ounces. I think the bartenders need training.

Stopped by for a late night drink. Skipped the line up because I was staying at Hotel Georgia. Sexy vibe. Beautiful people. Great throwback to days gone by. Had an incredible bourbon old fashioned. Not cheap but totally worth it. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Vancouver.

Had an amazing experience here at Prohibition. The vibe is super cool and the drinks are amazing. The snacks here are great too. Our server Stephanie was super friendly. Highly recommend checking out this spot for drinks.

Well appointed. There is a cover after 8, so arrive before! They have an amazing selection of champagne, Food also. I just love the decor. Great service when we were there.

I guess they forgot they rented the place out for a wedding after party and closed early. When all the guests arrived the place was shut tight. They should be absolutely ashamed of themselves, that they could be so careless with such an important day!

If you're really into massively overpriced drinks and incredibly poor service, this is the spot for you. My wife and I were staying at the Hotel Georgia the Saturday before Christmas and arranged to meet a friend at Prohibition for a drink. The hotel staff told us that Prohibition would waive the cover charge for hotel guests and that the dress code was smart casual. When we tried to go in to Prohibition, the bouncer refused to let us in because I was wearing a sweater, not a jacket, and insisted that we would have to pay a $20 per person cover charge regardless of our being hotel guests. Since we'd arranged to meet someone there, I ran back upstairs to change into a suit and paid $40 for us to get in. Once we walked in, however, I saw that half of the guys in the bar were wearing t-shirts and sneakers. Shout out to the douche at the door. Nice work enforcing that strict dress code... The drinks were ok, if you don't mind paying $30 for a Negroni. Bottom line- this isn't even close to being the best bar in its own building, let alone the neighborhood. Prohibition...by the self-important, for the self-important...

Atmosphere is very cool. Drinks are typically hotel like expensive but the food is what is outrageous. The micro serving size for macro pricing and even then we had to send back the marrow dish 2 times as it was well undercooked... with a comment from the chef that this can happen... Not impressive whatsoever. The evening bill is well above the overall value...sorry to say

Nice underground place. Great live music to chill to. Pricey.

Drinks are ridiculously expensive, but this is a cool place to go. It's under a hotel and it has a really great atmosphere. The crowd is great and this is a really nice place to have some drinks and dance and meet some people.
