Very unfriendly staff who acted in a condescending manner. Great selections of pastries though.

Had the goat cheese and potatoe puff pastey. Honestly it was sort of tasteless and overpriced. I would not order it again. The outside and i side are very cute, with really nice seating area. Lots of options

Another disappointment at Purebread. It has really gone downhill during/post Covid. I now have learned to be selective when choosing items.
Yesterday I bought a carrot cake loaf. I specifically asked the person at the counter when it was baked because the last time I bought one, it was dry. She said it was baked the day before. Got it home and it was dry and bland tasting, no visible carrots or raisins.
Purebread used to have the most amazing carrot cake. I should have learned my lesson a couple years ago when I bought a carrot cake birthday cake. Dry and tasteless. To me, carrot cake is moist, full of raisins and carrot. I have had the same experience with some of their other items being dry.
Thankfully their Ooey Gooey Chocolate Chip bars are always incredible. That yummy bar saved the day. Now it will be my only go to item.

Best bakery ever. Such a wife variety of pastries(savory and sweet) and other delicious bakes. Visited Vancouver from Seattle for 4 days and came here 3 times during our visit. Did not try the bread/sandwiches but from the looks of the bread I'm sure those are delicious too. Will come back for sure!

I believe a customer should be greeted...somehow...even a smile would be great. There are a couple of girls here that have the same expression on their face that does not change...no smile, no expression, no greeting, just a blank face. One example of an interaction was: I asked for a glass of water not knowing the water container was close by, and the girl looked at me like I had 2 heads. Then the container was empty anyway but I didn't want to interact with her again. I also asked the same girl if I could just leave my brownie at the counter until I came back from the washroom...again, she looked at me blankly, said nothing and slowly moved my dish to the side. I just think if you don't want to work there, then find something else. (Date was Tues.Aug.19 at 10:30)

I visited this bakery last thursday and for a thursday the place was packed with a long lineup! Vintage looking cafe with so many kinds of baked goods! Although they did seem very short staffed, the two girls in bandanas at the front handled the rush with much professionalism and everyone was taken care of even while keeping the front organized. Girl power! Will be coming back!

Such a cute and plentiful bakery! I really liked their iced vanilla late - so delicious! I got four treats (3 croissants + 1 giant meringue) and a latte for $35.89.
