Their pastries are pretty good, but they literally haven’t changed or updated their offerings in over 5 years. I would come more often if they introduced new pastries but it’s the same stuff every single time.

We visited purebread for the first time today and we were overwhelmed with all the different sweets, pastries and bread. All the staff at the counter were extremely friendly and patient. We took quite a long time to decide what we wanted to try and the staff were genuinely nice and didn’t rush us to make a decision. We ended up trying the cheddar jalapeño loaf, homity pie, a couple corn breads, a mini raspberry chocolate cake and a scone. We will try other items the next time we are in the area! The mini raspberry chocolate was average. The cake itself was dense and too dry. The icing was too sweet but without the icing the cake would have been very difficult to eat. We prefer sinfully the best in steveston for their cupcakes.Scones were good so we will try other flavours. The homity pie was really good. Crispy and flaky crust with lots of potato and broccoli filling. The cheddar jalapeno loaf was also very average (threw 3/4’s of the loaf away). Too dense and hard. We prefer Fife bakery for their loaves.Cornbread was dry and dense (threw them away). Still in search of a cornbread similar to what Tony Roma’s served at their restaurant in the 80’s.

So good when it's fresh! Unfortunately it's not always fresh :( got home yesterday only discover the pastery I bought was dry and stale. It's happened a few times usually on their bars and brownies:(

Their croissants don't have the layers that a croissant should've. So we ended up buying just sourdough and requested it to be sliced. Then the lady told us they don't slice bread for customers…..A. Bakery. Don't. Slice. Bread. ?????????? ?

A delightful experience at this place! The staff is incredibly friendly, creating a warm atmosphere. The array of options is extensive, offering something for everyone. The cookies are not only fresh but also remarkably tasty and delicious. The bread selection is amazing, complemented by good coffee. The cleanliness adds to the overall positive feeling of the place. It's definitely worth a try if you're looking for a spot with friendly service, a variety of options, delicious treats, and a clean, inviting ambiance.

High prices for subpar coffee and dried out pastries. Bit of a chaotic vibe as well.

I usually love coming here and the pastries are great but i went in today and all the staff was super nice except for this one yt girl with a blonde hair in a bun and a blue bandana who had the worst attitude and an annoyed look on her face before we even spoke to her. Then when she was taking the order we said “ oh most of the stuff we want is on the other side of the case” and she just looked at us blankly and I was like “ oh sorry do we just come to the other side?” And she just glared at us and took the next customer????? We felt so weird after that rude interaction and it ruined the mood for us completely.
