Received old slice of cauliflower pizza 5 minutes ago. Disappointed because they already serve fresh.

The food is high priced for a student cafeteria!

Honestly, I love some of their food. I never had a previous poor experience with them. The customer service is polite and respectful. Unfortunately, I was disgusted when I saw one of the cooks grab a serving tray for customer use. They used the tray to make my food, and one of the chef told them to NOT use the serving tray because it's for customer use. But they proceeded with making my order with the same customer tray. The same person who took my order, who was not wearing gloves - touched their paper and pen, and the serving tray, then proceeded to touch my food without their gloves. The person who was not wearing gloves and was shaking the open tip of a sauce bottle with their bare finger then put the sauce on my food. Regardless of Covid or not, I am disappointed in their lack of concern for food and health safety. I understand some of the staff may be in training, but food safety is one of the most important basics.

I suggest the coordinator of Art Culinary Program point out the students about food safe and customer service. I could see a double mistake happening at the Cafeteria. The student was serving my soup while speaking and laughing very close over my soup. She was not using mask. If mask is not mandatory anymore, it is okay. However, when I saw she doing that, I politely said: I'm sorry, I don't want anymore. I don't feel comfortable eating this soup because you are not using mask and speaking /laughing over my soup." She answered "okay".I just left disappointed because I was hungry and had just 30 minutes to lunch. So, after 5 minutes I went back and asked a slice of pizza to other student. The previous one came and started laughing saying: "You don't know how they prepare everything inside the kitchen". If I was feeling unsafe to buy that soup, after hear that, I - client - would not trust on VCC Cafeteria anymore. And she kept going saying "I don't have to say sorry, I have the right to live in Canada". OMG, I did not understand her point. Really. I think she is just a very young person that need to learn more about customer service and kindness, because she tried to give me more lack of confidence to eat anything in VCC cafeteria. I could ask her chef/supervisor and complain. But I don't want to harm her. I think how much opression she suffered in her life to say that sentence "I dont have to say sorry. I have the right to live in Canada" .Yes, she has the right to live in Canada and I hope she learn customer service to get a job and keep employed. I'm an immigrant as well and deserve the right to refuse a meal if I'm not feel safe eating it.I just want to register my review for the Art Culinary Program to highlight to the students about food safe and hospitality/customer service. And, yes, politness since Canadians say "sorry" !

I've been here multiple times since I'm taking CCA (College and Career Access) course. The coffee here tastes really good especially Starbucks Blond Roast and it's not too strong. Staff can give you a stamp after the purchase and the 10th coffee is FREE! Burger Combo (with fries) and Pasta Combo(comes with garlic bread) are both $7.50. They don't sell these at the same time, but they alternate. Sometimes they sell neither of them. Meal combo is $9 it's HUGE. It comes with one choice of protein (fish or meat) with 3 sides. I personally find this more of 2 servings than one. Soups cost about $2 for a small size. Chilli was alright and it could have been better. Jamaican Patty ($3) was good. Pasta Combo was reasonably priced as well. They do run out of garlic bread sometimes. As for toppings they have basil, parmesan, capers, smoked salmon, olives and parsley. Gluten-free pasta is available. Service is friendly. FYI, some pop cans(eg. Mountain Dew energy drink costs 25cents more in Quizine) and bag of chips have different price comparing to Quizine and the vending machine. Their cakes are good especially Tiramisu and Mousse cakes.

I came here for lunch as it was the closest thing. I was taking a one day seminar at VCC. I had a cream of broccoli and veggie sandwich combo that was under $11. Both were really good. It does get busy but was served in a timely manner. The customer service was super friendly.

Pretty good food for a cafeteria. Large portions at good prices. I had the meal combo, a protein with 3 sides for $9. (Medium rare flank steak, corn, roast potatoes and roasted cauliflower.) So much food I could only finish half. I would love to come here whenever I get a craving for beef, but I'm sure their menu changes daily. They have pizza, soup, sandwiches and pastries too. All very affordable. I've been meaning to drop by the downtown campus, but I don't need to anymore as there's free parking here. This definitely trumps Ikea's cafeteria any day. Reminds me of my university/college cafetaria days, but the food was never this good. Might explain the large crowds at lunch. Free parking in the area is challenging to find.

I live nearby and strangely feel a little guilty coming here because of how cheap the food is and how good it tastes! The morning pastries are all around $2.50 for hot, freshly baked deliciousness - cheese and leek strudels, almond croissants, blueberry muffins... Unfortunately they're not open evenings or weekends.

Walk right in to Quizine and prepare to be delighted both visually and orally. This training cafeteria will blow your mind. The baked goods are supreme and totally addictive. The puddings and other sweet offerings are bits of perfection. A little cinnamon twist ($2.00) with plump raisins and pumpkin seeds made me moan. Savouries vary from day to day, depending on what the lesson is. Average entree price is $8.00Cdn and servings are generous. Really, each and every creation is a surprise, and would not be out of place in the most high-end joint in the city. Quizine has become almost famous in its short life - sell outs of deliciousness are daily happenings. Coffee and a sweet, perfect for early afternoon coffee break. This little miracle is much too close to my home. Help me stay away! Come and eat. Quizine Kitchen is located at the East Broadway campus of Vancouver Community College. Entrance on Glen Drive north of Broadway.
