Lovely little cafe with delicious breakfast sandwiches and excellent service! Seating wasn't super comfortable so I'm not sure I'd hang out there to work, but that was probably the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had.

I am staunchly against the amount of mustard in the Italian. More peppers. Use a proper Italian dressing.

I arrived at Railtown on a quiet Tues morning, after the morning work rush, and ordered the breakfast sandwich, and asked for no green onions, no alfalfa sprouts, and no mayonnaise. The cashier repeated my order to me. 15 mins later my breakfast sandwich was given to me with everything I had specifically asked to be omitted. Mistakes happen, but come on.

Heard good things about Railtown so I tried it for my lunch break. Got the house made iced tea and their pulled pork sandwich on special. The iced tea had no sweetness and tasted like old tea that was shoved in the back of a fridge for days. The pulled pork was sweet and nothing else, no bbq flavour and it wasn't spicy despite it having pickled jalapeños. Really disappointed.

kinda disappointed with the service this morning. Order a simple 12oz latte. i thought it would just take 3min. but it took 15min. Girl at the cashier forgot to make my coffee. When the "manager" i assume passed by, i told him that im still waiting for the coffee that i ordered. Then i saw him make the coffee and brought it to me.

It wasnt that busy too. there were 3 people already eating/drinking and its just 10am in the morning. i assume the customer rush is over. but yeah. please dont forget the customers order.

Had the pastrami sandwich, which was underwhelming at best. Very fatty meat, and at least double the price it was worth.

Loved the Chicken Club on Foccacia, delicious. Was also really glad I could order a nice cold refreshing cider drink, right when I needed it. ? ?

Wheelchair accessibility: Stairs to summit at both entrances.

I normally have a good experience with this location but recently after finding I have a gluten intolerance I had to switch to salads over (their amazing) sandwiches. Today was the worst experience yet: they didn't add the quinoa I asked for but did add a grain that looked like what???? I'm afraid to go back.

Quick and easy to dip in for lunch, some of the best sammies on Granville. Highly recommended if you’re in the area.

Amazing Pork Sandwich and Exceptional Service!!!

I recently visited Railtown Cafe on Granville st. and had an absolutely fantastic experience. I ordered the pork sandwich, and wow—it was beyond delicious! The meat was tender and perfectly seasoned, with a great balance of flavors, and the bread had just the right amount of crunch. The sandwich was generously portioned, filling, and satisfying—definitely worth every penny.

But what made my visit even more memorable was the excellent service. Hanzel was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Every staff worked with great energy and also professionally! It’s always nice when staff goes above and beyond to ensure you have a great time, and that’s exactly what happened here.

I highly recommend Railtown Cafe not only for their amazing food but also for the top-notch service. I’ll definitely be back!

Good cafe, good food and nice service. But sometimes the music is too noisy in the lobby.

Apathetic - I went here on July 22 ‘24, and ordered a soup. They said soups are not ready until 10:30am. It was 10:22am. I said I could wait for 8 minutes, can I please order a soup and I paid for the soup. They then forgot to give me the soup and I had to go back and explain that I had ordered and already paid for it. The soup itself was good.
