Rain or Shine provided the desert for our wedding this summer and we couldn't recommend them enough. They were the perfect choice for a hot day and they were even able to offer some changes to their standard catering menu to allow for some even more refreshing options for our guests! To top it all off their staff turned up and worked the event after being rear-ended on the way to our venue! They went above and beyond and I can't thank them enough!

Like a neighbourhood pub, but for ice cream! The best ice cream in Vancouver, hands down. The go to flavours of salted caramel, London fog, and malted milk chocolate honeycomb are always complemented by a season offering. Their ice cream texture is the best, as are their cones, and the service is always friendly and kind.

The ice cream is fantastic. Staff are kind and fun to talk to. It’s always worth the huge walk to get here.
The chocolate honeycomb is the best flavour! We have gone back multiple times to get this. The staff is always friendly but it can be challenging to get seating sometimes. Other than that, really great ice cream shop!
Parking: Parking is available on the side or in the neighbourhood.

I feel so lucky to live near Rain or Shine. Malted milk chocolate honeycomb is a must have for my freezer. Though the line gets crazy long in summer, I love how there’s a separate line for pint purchase.

I'm disappointed every time I go to Rain or Shine:
#1. Limiting customers to try a maximum of two flavours seems wrong. How will I know which flavour to get if I'm not happy with my first two tries? Whenever I've asked the staff at Rain or Shine for my second taste test, they always seem so annoyed with me and remind me that I am limited to trying only two flavours. At Earnest Ice Cream, I've never been limited in the number of taste tests or have been made to feel that I'm a nuisance by asking to try more than 2 flavours. Even when the line up is out the door at Earnest, the staff is attentive and willing to let me try as many flavours as I want.
#2. The flavours are disappointing, limiting, and often ice-y in texture. Not the quality I expect for the price that I pay.
