After our return from Japan, we had a craving for some ramen and decided to stop by Ramen Danbo in Kerrisdale. I've been to their Kits location years ago and had good memories of this popular franchise.
Ordered the classic ramen with chashu plus nori and kikurage. Also got the negi-goma ramen with chashu plus kikurage and egg. We added the side of gyozas and had a bit of sticker shock as our meal wound up to be $60 for 2 people. Back in Japan, this would have been so much more affordable.
Food wise, it was pretty good. I miss not being able to get melon Fanta. Service seemed a bit rushed and seating is a bit cramped (to be expected and not as bad as Japan).

Came to this place because it’s hype and I always see a long line during peak hours so decided to give it a try! We came around 4:30 on a Sunday and there was no line, so if you want to avoid the line I recommend coming during non peak hours. The ramen itself was good! It wasn’t the best ramen I’ve had but it was still good. I got the thin noodles and I thought it was unique. I also ordered their signature broth and it was also delicious. There are also a variety of vegan/vegetarian options as well, and their veggie gyoza were good! The prices were also fair but with add ons (egg, seaweed, etc) it comes down to ~$20 for a bowl of ramen.

The longest wait time for pick up. Ordered online, at first 23 min wait (which is reasonable), then they added another 25 min. Finally when we came at the time they said it is ready, nothing was ready! Another 15 min wait. No “we are sorry” from the staff, nothing. If you are so busy, why do you even accept the pick-up orders? Very bad experience with this location

Excellent service, delicious food. Have both regular option (pork) and began options. I've been to their other locations on Robson and Broadway and food is always consistent and solid.

I recently tried Ramen Danbo in Kerrisdale for the first time, and I absolutely loved it! The cozy ambiance and friendly staff made the experience even better. The food was incredibly delicious – the ramen had amazing flavors and was perfectly prepared. We decided to give it a try based on a friend’s recommendation, and it did not disappoint! I’ll definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommend Ramen Danbo for anyone looking for great ramen and a welcoming atmosphere!

I usually stay away from non-vegan spots but Danbo was so well reviewed. And it did not disappoint. I have been told there is always a wait here but we were seated within a few minutes and the food comes really quickly. Separate and clear vegan menu. They were out of vegan egg and did not have extra tofu as an option, but everything was delicious and I will return.
Overrated ramen with too much ego. Takes forever. There are better options in town go try others don’t waste time here

Disappointing experience at this location. We were a group of 4, and while 3 of us were almost done with our meals, my other friend waited nearly 20 minutes for her order, only to receive noodles that tasted raw. When we addressed the issue with the server, their response was: “you ordered standard firmness, and it is what it is. If you’re not satisfied with the noodle, you can place another order for softer noodles”. Please, it’s not our first time visiting Danbo and we know the difference between cooked and raw noodle. Overall, the lack of consistency in food quality, coupled with the server's unhelpful attitude, made the experience unpleasant. While the order was eventually remade after insistence, the server's response that it was a ONE-TIME exception was off-putting. Regrettably, this visit will also be our last.
