Turned away at door for asking for a soccer game at a soccer bar

This bar signed up to be a part of a Halloween bar crawl and had no space to let in anyone that bought tickets to their event. When I showed up to the bar around 10pm we were denied entry and the bartender just threw their hands up and said “no” and turned their back on us, so it seems like the staff were stressed and overworked because of poor management decisions. Awful planning and service. Don’t sign up for to be a part of an event if you don’t have a plan for space! So disappointed- I will not be back :(

Took over 1.5 hours to get wings. Servers messed up the order and didn’t bring half the food. Also asking us how long we are staying? Bring my damn food in time. seeing as I did email to follow up and never got a response, I think its fair to say this a trickle down effect from management, and not surprising of how low this place has sunk over the years

Upon entering the establishment, my partner and I found the bar completely empty. We asked where it would be easiest for us to sit and requested two Shaft cocktails. We were informed that the coffee required for the drinks wasn’t prepared and would need to be retrieved from next door. While this was unexpected, we responded politely and assured the staff it wasn’t a problem.

We seated ourselves in a booth and were soon greeted by a new server, Michaela, who was wearing a black baseball cap. When I inquired about the daily specials and draft options, she responded by abruptly placing the menus on the table and telling us to read them ourselves. Her tone and demeanor came across as dismissive and unnecessarily rude.

The food and service throughout the visit were mediocre at best. Michaela’s attitude did improve slightly toward the end of our experience, but unfortunately, the damage had already been done. As someone with over 15 years in the hospitality industry, I understand the pressures of the job and am generally very forgiving. However, this level of service was unacceptable.

It’s difficult to understand how a business can continue operating in today’s competitive climate with such poor customer service. If I were managing this establishment, I would seriously reconsider the employment of staff who treat guests with such disregard.

We ate 1 meal here each of the 3 days we were in Vancouver - very nice place! 1st day we sat by an open window & had a cold beer after walking around all day. Their pizza is awesome and the cheese cake delish! Good quality food. Friendly service.

went for the most recent ufc since we couldnt get a table at any other bar. my friends found a table and i was spectacle since our server told us she was behind the bar at the same time as serving tables, i was worried we would have been forgotten or have to flag someone down anytime we needed somthing. In the end I cant say anything bad, she probably gave us better service then any other sports bar weve been too especially juggiling the bar and us. the girl with the tattoos behind the bar, we love you! all my friends were impressed too by your bartending skill

5 stars for the bar! As a somewhat frequent flyer here now, we come for the cocktails, and stay for the bartenders. Brooklyn is a top notch with service, sips, and a good chin wag. (She makes a mean caeser)
And of course we love a good Rebecca moment as well. Thanks for taking care of us, ladies!
Also a thumbs up for the fungi thin crust pizza.

Terrible experience. They call themselves a sports bar (which is the reason I decided to go), but every single TV was showing the news.

I asked the waitress if she could put on any baseball game, and with zero attitude, she flipped through three channels and said she couldn’t find one. A few minutes later, I asked if she could at least put on the UFC fight, and she told me they don’t show it because it’s pay-per-view (??? You’re a sports bar).

The worst part? It wasn’t even a pay-per-view event. I told her it wasn’t, she said she’d go ask, and then she never came back.

Hanging jerseys on the walls doesn’t make you a real sports bar.

This happened June 14 around 8:30 pm.
