Best mochi in the city, and their cakes are to die for.

The matcha eclair is the best dessert I’ve ever put in my mouth, perfect texture and not too sweet!

one of the best patisseries in town, a huge shame to see the cost of food and rent in vancouver drive out a business like theirs. try everything they have to offer while you can. their cakes are perfectly balanced taste and texture-wise, and their mochi is my favourite in town. dunno what all these desperate wannabe food influencers are on about. ppl getting wrapped up about non-issues that just want food filled with preservatives and cheap ingredients lol anyways Remi Patisserie is great, we miss you already!

True artisan at work. The chef's sponge cake aka Remi's Sponge sets the bar quite high with its texture, flavor, moistness and yet light enough that when I order a trio roll, I finish the whole roll in a day. The variety and choice of cream types used are impressive in texture, flavors and stability. High quality ingredients (look at the vibrant color of the matcha and taste of that matcha or the dark chocolate in the ganache); I mean you know you know. The choux in the eclair and puff are nice and crunchy. I am quite amazed that the price in the menu has not gone up much relative to how much more the cost of living in Van went up over the past years. I hope the chef continues to cultivate his culinary artistry as he announced that he has plans to head to Japan. I'll keep an eye out to see if, perchance, one day I can try again his creations.

I’ve walked past this cozy spot so many times without realizing there’s a lot of special treats made in this spot—it’s easy to miss if you’re not looking for it. But a friend tipped me off, saying they have some of the best pastries in town, so I had to check it out.

Today, I tried the matcha with mochi éclair and the salted egg yolk financier, and wow—both were as unique as they were delicious! They not only looked amazing but tasted even better than I thought. Not very sweet. Between the two, the salted egg yolk financier was my favorite—it’s easily one of the best I’ve ever had. If only I had my cup of coffee with me, I could’ve had more.

This place is a hole in the wall that no one should miss. Bonus: the chef is planning to move to Japan soon, so make sure to support this incredible local spot while you can. I’m already planning my next visit!

Remi Patisserie makes really delicate and beautiful desserts. The team member is very knowledgeable about each item. We bought Strawberry Short cake, Matcha Mochi Eclair, Cheese Tart, Black Sesame Mochi, and Hojicha Mochi. They are all super delicious.

The owner is so incredibly rude. It's unfortunate because the cakes are good. But the poor service and comminication overshadows the positive. He's unapologetic about it and will argue with you about it. I regret getting his cake. It makes me sick knowing I ate a terrible person's cake.

Wow!

Chestnut Mont Blanc,
Light, crispy, sweet, astringent tied together by the chewy neutral flavored mochi.

Matcha mochi eclair, sweet rich sense decadent with the whole chestnut enveloped in the light fluffy cream, followed by a spectacular biscuit finish at the very bottom.

Hojicha Mochi
Light and creamy one piece is not enough. Like a perfect milky dessert beverage in a morsel. The mochi shell is presented here so light and soft and sticky! Unlike any mochi I've ever had
