This spot never misses. It’s definitely on the pricier side with smaller portions, but the flavours and presentation consistently leave me walking out happy and satisfied. Beautiful plates, balanced flavours, and a vibe that keeps me coming back.
• Scallop Ceviche - Hokkaido scallops, cherry tomato, red onions, cucumber, microgreens, coriander oil
• Uni - Uni with mullet caviar on french toast
• Black Cod - Soy maple syrup black cod, stir-fried soba noodles, kale, mushroom, yuzu foam
• Grilled Tontoro - Charcoal grilled pork jowl, black pepper jus, green onions, spicy yuzu
• Salmon Aburi Oshi Sushi - salmon, jalapeno, spicy mayo
Great tasting food … buff beef was my least favourite and foie gras with whiskey sauce my favourite. Great spot for sushi and sashimi, seafood miso soup and mayo ebi prawns 🍤

It can be hard to choose a Japanese restaurant in a city inundated with them. Yugo was something different than the usual. Highly recommend

Tried sashimi, Buff Beef, foie gras maki, grilled fish kama, and scallop ceviche, all fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented, with a skilled sushi bar and kitchen, super friendly, attentive servers, and very reasonable prices. Can’t wait to come back! ;)

Just went in today for uni pasta and the food was not bad. Just the waitress acted not so welcomed even at first she thought I didn’t reserve a table so ask me to switch to a smaller table. Notes that there was empty in the whole restaurant and I was the only customer. Then I explained I did reserve a table and I can tell she’s not looking happy when I told her that. I still tipped her even though I got some attitude from her. After I paid I said thanks and she didn’t say anything and left. For a price of $31 for a uni pasta (and only 2 pieces uni) I expect better quality of service.

Really disappointed with the shrinkflation. I get it in this economy but at least update the pictures then. It’s seems intentionally deceptive. Everything is half the portion it used to be and priced higher and quality has gone down.
Service was also terrible. We were there less than 2 hours, maybe only 1 and our server rushed us out. Very rude.

I’ve been here several times, and in my opinion, it’s the only restaurant I’ve been to that combines Eastern and Western food successfully (Japanese and French food in this case)! Every time we eat here, we have a great time and the food is always delicious!
Service was amazing and quick, environment was relaxing and not fancy, and food, as always, was perfect and delicious! The miso soup is my favourite, and I highly recommend it. The beef tongue doesn’t suit my taste, but the salads are amazing! The uni pasta is okay. The foie gras don is the best thing I’ve ever had! Their mochi and black sesame dessert was incredible too! The mochi was still warm when it came out, and it was super chewy. The ice cream tasted good as well, and the two balanced each other nicely. Out of all their desserts, I loved the Jasmine tea crème brûlée they had last year! Please bring that back :).
