This place has THE best Laksa I've ever tried (and I've tried a few around the world). You MUST try the Laksa here. I have the chicken Laksa and it was amazing - the coconut broth on its own carried the dish. Be aware, Laksa is already a spicy dish - don't add too much further spice or you won't be able to enjoy the coconut broth. It's a very easy ordering system, you order your meal, your protein(chicken, beef, pork) and any sides at the till, and then take a seat. The staff will bring you food out to you. I was a solo diner and was very happy to see that they had a bar as well facing the street which made me feel more comfortable. Also go in the late afternoon if you don't like crowds. I went around 3.30pm and it was nice and quiet, just the way I like it. The staff are very kind and helpful! Also it was good practice for me with chopsticks 😁

I ordered takeaway Pad Thai from on August 17, 2025, and was horrified to find a piece of steel wool from a scrubber in my mouth while eating. This is extremely dangerous, as sharp metal can cause serious internal injuries like perforation of the stomach or intestines. As it was a takeaway, I couldn’t report it to the staff immediately. This points to a severe lapse in kitchen hygiene, as cleaning scrubbers should never contaminate food. The restaurant must urgently fix its food safety practices. I won’t order again.

Tried the Kung Pao Chicken at Rice and Noodle on Robson and it did not disappoint. The sauce was packed with flavor and had just the right amount of heat, Portions were good and everything came out fast.
Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to. Can’t wait to try more from the menu!

This place has a bad smell, and the food isn't worth it. I only tried my coconut soup and couldn't finish it. The waitresses don't care if you find the food tastes bad. Bad customer service.

Walking past this store countless times, we never thought we would try the food. On a really hot day though, we went into the Japanese Market next door intending to buy a few onigiri only to find the rice packages warmer than room temperature even though they had been sitting in the fridge. We gave up on that and being too hungry by this time, the photos outside Rice and Noodle looked reasonable enough, we decided to try it. We ordered a mild Yellow Curry with tofu, and Mongolian Stir Fry. The food is cooked to order, the stir fry was greasy, the vegetables were thin and wimpy – almost like they've been in the fridge too long. The space is not that comfortable. Our food experience was disappointing.

Last night in Vancouver. Went here due to sign saying homemade noodles. Basic interior. Food came out hot spicy and delicious. We had the pineapple fried rice and Kung pao with tofu and rice. I def would recommend eating here. Large portions. Robson is such a great street in a beautiful city.

Pad Thai Perfection & Curry That Hits the Spot 🍜🔥 Had dinner at Rice and Noodle with my friend last night and we were both seriously impressed. I got the pad Thai with chicken — and wow, the flavors were on point. Tangy, a little sweet, perfectly balanced. My friend ordered the red curry and the aroma alone had me jealous. I ended up stealing a few bites (worth it 😄).
The service was quick, staff were friendly, and everything came out piping hot. Loved the chill vibe of the place — not too loud, just right for catching up after work.
Portions are solid, prices are super reasonable, and the variety on the menu means we’ll definitely be back to try more.
