One of the affordable places in Downtown. A decent meal under $15. Quite a few veggie options. The portion size was a bit underwhelming but the taste was above average. Thumbs up, overall!

Eat in and take out style noodles. Better than expected for a quick meal.
The laksa and Thai coconut soup were good. Both had a level 2 spice and the lasagna was zippier.

Walking around Granville and Robson and this place caught my eye, modern brightly lit storefront when compared to the bleakish surrounding environment, for those who are familiar with Granville Street you know what I'm talking about.

In the mood for something Asian and this place stood out like a guiding light in a heavily fogged wasteland.

Notice their dish prices were quite inexpensive when I realise there were extra charges for protein if desired (chicken, shrimp, beef). Vegetarians would love this place.

Ordered the Laksa with shrimp ($3 extra) and the Penang curry with chicken ($2 extra).

Both dishes were not bad, both dishes arrived piping hot. The Laksa was slightly spicy with a rich coconut based broth, plenty of vegetables with shrimp (previously frozen)

Penang curry was very good, again plenty of vegetables with sliced white chicken meat.

I was not expecting much but this fast-food style Asian restaurant was unique when compared to the surrounding pizza, burger, Mexican, middle Eastern food places on Granville.

Kudos to the owners for their bravery in establishing a rice and noodle option for the denizens of Granville street.

This place has THE best Laksa I've ever tried (and I've tried a few around the world). You MUST try the Laksa here. I have the chicken Laksa and it was amazing - the coconut broth on its own carried the dish. Be aware, Laksa is already a spicy dish - don't add too much further spice or you won't be able to enjoy the coconut broth. It's a very easy ordering system, you order your meal, your protein(chicken, beef, pork) and any sides at the till, and then take a seat. The staff will bring you food out to you. I was a solo diner and was very happy to see that they had a bar as well facing the street which made me feel more comfortable. Also go in the late afternoon if you don't like crowds. I went around 3.30pm and it was nice and quiet, just the way I like it. The staff are very kind and helpful! Also it was good practice for me with chopsticks 😁

I ordered takeaway Pad Thai from on August 17, 2025, and was horrified to find a piece of steel wool from a scrubber in my mouth while eating. This is extremely dangerous, as sharp metal can cause serious internal injuries like perforation of the stomach or intestines. As it was a takeaway, I couldn’t report it to the staff immediately. This points to a severe lapse in kitchen hygiene, as cleaning scrubbers should never contaminate food. The restaurant must urgently fix its food safety practices. I won’t order again.
