Ordered takeout, a chicken dish. The food didn’t taste fresh. But the main problem is they half filled the container!!!I called to explain that something must be wrong since we paid $21 for a *tiny* portion of chicken and was actually told (by the manager) they gave us less because “ingredients are expensive right now”. How absurd— raise your prices if you need to, don’t cheat people, that’s stealing. Will never order from here again, stay away.

It was ok, service was nice but the food is just average. Well priced though.Wheelchair accessibility: It's on the ground floor with no steps

I love the Ridge...my family has been going there since they actually were at the Ridge on 16th and Arbutus. Lovely family who runs it and a perfect Chinese-Canadian restaurant. Great lunch specials too.

Expensive and small portions almost half what they used to give you. The food is pretty good.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ridge Garden Restaurant, which truly is a hidden gem in the West side of Vancouver that truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere. For those with kids, the owners of the restaurant was more than accommodating and recommended a number of dishes that all three of my kids adored from the house soup, spring rolls, to beef stir fried noodles, and a new dish they recommended which was a deep fried eggplant glazed with a sweet and sour sauce. If you're a fan of Chinese cuisine, don't miss the opportunity to dine at this remarkable establishment! My family loved it and so will you!

This family (siblings) business have been around for 33 years. Their old location was at the Ridge theater/bowling center at Arbutus and 15th. This location is smaller now but lots of free parking on Macdonald St. Cash or debit only. 10% off for pick-up orders over $60 by cash. 5% off for pick-up orders over $60 by debit. Does not open for dinner on Mondays (11am-3pm). Does not open for lunch on Sun and holidays (5pm-9pm). Their authentic Chinese food is good and reasonable. My pork chop, chicken and green beans (the best texture in Vancouver) are all around $22 each. They are still giving out fortune cookies.EDIT:Green beans $20Sweet & sour pork $20Meat, seafood and tofu in hot pot $25Paper bag $0.50

We have been loyal clients of Ridge Garden for eight years and am writing this with a bit of sadness.Their food had always been of high quality, the staff kind and the restaurant was clean. We ordered last week and were overcharged 16$, a fact only established after calling to have our bill explained since it was in Chinese. The food was so so.They said they would make it up to us next time. When we called today, they took our order and when we asked about the overcharge from last time, we were offered a free side sauce (which until two weeks ago was free anyway). The order of two basic items and fried rice would have been $68 plus tax for pickup. There is no accurate pricing for any of their dishes, not online or in house. The quality does not justify these prices and after so many years of loyal service I would expect a mistake on their part to be rectified. This practice of murky pricing, incomprehensible bills and overcharging has lost them our business.

First time trying after seeing all the food reviews. Lunch special is $16 but portions are on the smaller side for the price and compared to other Chinese restaurants lunch specials in Vancouver. Lots of empty space in the container. Friendly staff and cash or debit only.

The restaurant has a very small area for dining in. There are only about 8 tables. When we went there were people sitting at 2 of the tables waiting for their take-out orders. Most of the other tables were occupied. One of the ladies found a table for us and brought menus and hot tea to the table. The staff seem to all be family members and they all worked together to see that the customers were taken care of. Most of the dishes seem to be around $20.00. The staff were all very friendly and serviced both the customers with take-out orders and customers dining in very well. We ordered crispy skin chicken, pea pods with beef and rice. When our crispy skin chicken arrived it did not come with the salt that is always served with the chicken and we had to request it. The pea pods with beef was average. I found the chicken to be somewhat dry and not very good. It was also a very small chicken. The service was very good. The food was between poor and average. I don’t think they are really set up for dining in. The room is nice though and tables were well cleaned between customers whether people eating in or waiting for take-out orders. We found the small dining area and people waiting beside our table most of the evening for take-out orders did not make for a pleasant experience. They take cash or debit card only. Credit cards are not accepted. I don’t think we would return although the service was excellent we found we did not enjoy our meal.

Delicious food, wonderful variety of authentic Cantonese dishes. Service is so friendly, fast and reliable. A great first experience! Would recommend - nice to have a great place like this on the West side.

The good food and reasonable prices along with the caring staff made for a great experience, I will be back soon.

For the duration of the pandemic, Ridge Garden has been the safest option for take out. Now that they’ve opened their doors for dine-in again, they are one of the best restaurants on the west side.
