Fine dining experience, loved it!
This location has massive potential.
Service is quote good.
The quality of the food is good, but the amount of tuna one gets in a pokè bowl for instance is frugal as an example.
Overall experience was good, but it has potential to be great.
3.5 stars overall if I had that choice.
Almost $60 for two (light) lunch menu items and one beer.

Had the door crasher deal eggs benny with a mimosa for $9.95. Hollandaise sauce was really good and poached eggs were perfectly cooked. Mimosa went down like a mimosa. Nice spot along the river. Sports on. I will certainly be back.
Service was exceptional! Both our server and the host was attentive, polite and a pleasure to talk to. The food does not disappoint! Was here early enough to order off the happy hour menu, and portions were still large. Burgers & the drunken donuts for dessert are a winning combo every time. It's nice they have been able to expand their seating area to accommodate more people and larger groups. There is a great kids menu and everyone went home quite content. Plan to be back soon. This a great place when craving a good burger.

We love this spot! The view of the river is impeccable. Our most recent experience was top notch. Our server, Mateo, had such good recommendations and was such an amazing server. He was so attentive and so personable. We highly recommend coming here and ask for Mateo!

I visited Romer's for dinner with a few friends and children. The food was delicious (I recommend the salmon bowl) and the chef was happy to make some substitutions and changes to accommodate our preferences. They also had options that our young children enjoyed and some are particularly picky eaters!
The ambiance was warm and inviting. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making us feel welcome right away. The portion sizes were good and overall I felt it was value for money.

Nov. 17, 2025 - The food was excellent, but getting there is a challenge right now - the City of Vancouver's roadwork has blocked off the Kerr Street access. But you CAN get there! Just go down Kinross, turn right, go across to Kerr and turn left - you can access Romers that way. All this construction over the past couple of months has been BRUTAL on Romer's business - help support them!

We had a great experience dinning at Romers River District this afternoon. The manager is professional and made sure we had a great time. What impressed me about her is that she had a natural authenticity. Our server was knowledgeable and enticed us to come back by sharing promotions they offer. And the eggs were poached perfectly.

The vibe at Romer's is always great. Popped out to play at my buddy's open mic night and to grab drinks and food.
The chicken sandwich and pint were excellent, probably one of the better sandwiches I've ever had. Also was great to meet and have a chat with Jim Romer himself!
Im only taking off a star because it was nearly IMPOSSIBLE to track down and get our server to come back after we got our food and drinks.
Didn't check in on how the food was or for drink refils and we waited for a good 20 min after our plates were cleared before we could ask for our bill.
Other than that, I'm a Romers fan!
We had a reservation but still waited about 15 minutes just to be acknowledged by the host. It took another 15 minutes before anyone came to take our order, and then around 40 minutes more for the food to arrive. When it finally did, the dishes were cold — and to make things worse, the mains were served before the appetizers, which resulted in the salad and soup being left uneaten.
I understand it was a public holiday and the restaurant seemed understaffed, but it was only half full when we arrived, so the long waits were difficult to justify. Throughout the meal, no one checked on our table, offered an apology, or even said thank you.
I had high hopes and genuinely wanted to support this restaurant, but the experience was very disappointing and, unfortunately, not worth a return visit.

We were on a nice walk and decided to stop by for their large garlic fries which ended up costing $16 so a little bit higher then I thought. The service was good but I had to ask for hot sauce twice because the server forgot.

I got the salmon burger and it was very good. I would have liked a bigger piece of salmon, felt like it was smaller than the buns but the salmon itself was very yummy. Fries were good. Overall dish was more on the classic, simple side, smaller portion size. Buns were good as well. I would like to try their other dishes!
