Service was so fast! We were seated immediately, water and hot tea placed in front of us moments within sitting down, and menus were handed out. Our ordered food arrived within 10 minutes and was served piping hot. Delicious savoury creamy broth laden with springy ramen noodles and flame torched cha siu slices accompanied with crunchy bamboo shoots and wood ear fungus topped with fresh scallions and a perfectly cooked 1/2 onsen egg…a substantial bowl of ramen that tasted awesome for under $15?!? Unbelievable. The yuzu sour was refreshing and served in a large 20 oz glass…nice. At the next table I saw perfectly cooked katsu that I will try next time. Definitely coming back for more of this yummy goodness. Especially since they served us complementary ice cream at the end of the meal! That was a welcome surprise that made an incredible meal even better.

TriedTanTan men as it's my favorite recipe. Quite basic, brothers uneventful and plain, not much black mushrooms, chashu was super slim and noodles didn't taste like home made. Price is good but if you know and like ramen this isn't a great place for you. G-men is still king of Ramens in Richmond and Steveston by far.

We used to go when this was gyo para, we are glad to still get good ramen here. However parking is a nightmare most days. The alleys randomly have no left or no right signs the parking is all now permit parking, and there limited street parking on Broadway. Best time to go is when you can park at the paint store after they close. Otherwise you park blocks away.

Today we circled the area for 10 min before giving up and going somewhere else. Hopefully the city can get their stuff together so this business can actually get customer's.

Possibly my favourite chicken katsu of all time. I like that they’re generous with sauces as well. I wish the chashu in the ramen was a little more delicate as this one’s a bit too tough for me.

Very friendly and attentive servers as well!

This place rivals all the top ramen and katsu spots in the city and has an amazing price. Highly recommend.

This place is a definite hidden gem! Ramen was awesome at good prices. The charred cha siu is the best I’ve ever had!! Complimentary ice cream was the cherry on top.

I like their Japanese style tableware used for tea and dishes.
Ramen appearance was good, soup was very hot, with variety of toppings on top. Overall the ramen was delicious. For it to be truly authentic, it’s suggested a richer and more complex broth, and noodle with a firmer bite.
The young man staff provided excellent service, he was taking care of around 10 tables and was very efficient.
Attractive price, plus free ice cream with a few flavours to choose.

This place used to be operated by Japanese, and the food was very authentic. Now, under Korean management, the ramen has lost its original authenticity and leans more toward a Korean-style Japanese ramen. All the staff are Korean. I ordered two ramens—chicken paitan and tonkutsu ramen. The former was alright but The tonkotsu broth is disappointing — it tastes off, almost as if milk or other non-traditional ingredients were added. The service, however, was decent, and the staff were friendly.

Never too busy and free ice cream with your meal. One of my go to ramen places in Kitsilano.

Second time visiting. Food was not nearly as good as the first time. Ordered assorted katsu set, the pork and chicken ones were very dry and comically small portion, shrimp was ok. But all were over fried and oily.
Washroom was very dirty and not flushed, soap dispenser was broken too.
