really rude service :/ i asked for gluten free soy sauce (they normally always have it) and the server RUDELY (was working on april 13th) told me that i shouldn’t eat Japanese food because all of it has gluten? and then he rolled his eyes at my friend and i as we were leaving because i have an allergy… what kind of service is this! definitely never giving my money here ever again

Waited forever in takeout for a single roll of sushi. Very overpriced too.

Good food at good prices. Love the gyu don, the beef Curry, and the fried bento boxes are quite nice too! I wish the tea was a little bit hotter though, but it's free so I can't complain. Sometimes the "wait to be seated" sign makes it hard to enter due to obstruction of the path though which can be a little

it's like this place is deliberately competing with Nori to make the worst bento boxes you could want. It's like buying premade teriyaki from a white grocery

As someone allergic to shellfish I was happy to see many vege options. The vegetarian bento box was pretty good.

I love coming here because everything is so cheap and the appetizers are actually really good for the price.

The sushi, tempura, and miso soup at RYUU are delicious! It's a treat to be able to grab such a satisfying lunch on campus. I also had a taste of my friend's kimchi udon, which was equally tasty. However, the service here might not be up to par. There were few smiles and the checkout process was painfully slow. Our attempts to get attention were ignored, even when we were standing right at the counter.

Terrible food, would avoid like the plague. Not fresh, the owners/managers are Korean - pretty funny to be running a Japanese kitchen. They cheap out practically every single component of their dishes.

I ordered spicy tuna roll and what i got was tuna roll with 6 drops of spicy sauce on top. I could barely taste the spiciness. So I asked for little extra sauce on the side and guess what, they charged me a dollar for the spicy sauce. They didn't even informed me that they were gonna charge for the sauce. The portion of the roll wasn't even that big either. It was ridiculous and i would never return to this restaurant. No customer service at this restaurant.

Waited over an hour for our food, even though we came in looking for a quick meal. Customers arriving after us were served earlier, and once we asked why it took so long, the waitresses told us they hadn't started making our food yet since "the machine was broken", even though customers with the same orders as us were served. At that point the wait staff just asked if we were going to leave, not offering any real explanation or apology for the 1+ hour of waiting

I came with my friends looking for a quick meal, ended up waiting for over 1 hour with no apology or explanation from any of the waitresses. My friend asked if our food was coming soon, the waitress said she’ll check and let us know(she never came back). Afterwards, I went to the front and asked if there was any progress at all on our food, as we had been waiting for over an hour and had exams the next day. The waitresses finally admitted that they hadn’t even started making our food because a machine was supposedly broken (cap, multiple people who ordered after us had already received and finished eating their meals at that point.). No apology was offered, they just asked if we were gonna leave. I don’t know if this is a racial issue, but it seems to be a pattern I see with other reviews (I come from a country which was victim to numerous Japanese warcrimes, my friends are both South Asian).

If I could give a 0 I would. We ordered a lot but left unfulfilled. Prices were insane. We ordered assorted tempura, thinking like all other restaurants you’d get a bouquet of tempura. We got two shrimps and half an eggplant strand for 7$. We got two boxes and both had maybe four strands of beef on the rice. The salad no dressing and the spicy tuna tasted meh. Usually we fight for each others food, invoking half rights to shared food. This time we fought to not eat it. #notworththestop

Wouldn’t recommend. While the servers were nice, the food was below average. Sushi rolls are incredibly small and our takoyaki was still frozen in the middle.

Terrible food. Slow with a big line up, expensive food and small portions. The pudding was too stiff with too much gelatin.
