This review is for take out only and it is during the soft opening. 1) food came quickly, it was a good temperature although too many little packets for veggies and hot sauce. An option to combine would be nice. 2) we ordered hummus, 2 lamb dishes 1 chicken breast. The lamb was good, did it shine from other lamb? Not really but still tasty and nice to have something in the neighbourhood other than Greek. The breast was moist and tasty. The hummus was tasty and not overwhelming with garlic. I like a little thicker, more tahini but I would order it again. The dishes came with rice with almonds and it was excellent. The hummus came with pita, which was thin and a style I like but the pita on counter was fresher. I honestly was not sure what to expect. The only other Yemeni food I have had was in, dare I say, Israel and stylistically it was similar and may have come from a different tradition. I look forward to trying the restaurant in house. I am particularly interested in the lentil soup and fava bean stew.

This is the only one restaurant that my husband and I would love to go again and again. And one day we decided to eat out then I checked in google it says it's closed. But after one month they transfer their location and now they're back with the bang. Food is so yummy and the price is worth the atmosphere and taste. Cheers to the team?

Yesterday I went to Saba Foods restaurant with one of my colleagues, we first visited their location and found out that it has been converted into an Indian restaurant, the new restaurant was about 4 km away from there. My colleague was fasting and was looking for a restaurant with halal food and since we had already gone to Saba Foods once again, they chose there again. The atmosphere of the new restaurant was more beautiful and open than before, and its location was also better. We chose a main course for two, which included the main dish (chicken, meat, and rice) along with a tomato sauce and a cucumber, tomato, and onion salad. The quality of the food was good, the taste was normal. Because I am used to Iranian food, the spices used in the food were very strange to me.After the meal, we had a knafa with cream. All these items were on the main dish and we did not order anything separately.I forgot to mention that we also got a broth and a bowl of dates. All our meals came to about $68 with tax, which was a good price for what we received. The waiter and waitress there were also very friendly and friendly, and the restaurant environment is the place that cleans the highest level

Saba Foods Yemeni Restaurant in Vancouver offers a great option for people who love this kind of cuisine and it's also Halal! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere that sets the stage for a delicious dining experience. The menu has many options! My favourite is the Mandi and Haneeth. The staff at Saba Foods, are attentive and knowledgeable. Don't forget to also try out their Kunafa and milk tea to end your dinner with a sweet flavour.?

The chef here knows how to cook meat to perfection. The lamb chops had a nice sear and were done medium which is just right to render down the fattiness of the lamb and keep it juicy and tender. Can’t go wrong with the lamb haneeth or mandi for mains. Their lime juice tastes freshly squeezed, as advertised, and pairs well with the food. Moreover, the service was attentive and exceeded our expectations. Will definitely return once they open their new location.

We ordered takeout from this restaurant for the first time tonight and it won't be our last! We tried to call in our order but they were busy, so we ordered through Uber Eats. This ended up being to our benefit, as they had BOGO deals on their Lahm Sogar and Chicken Leg Mandi. We also got an order of the Lamb Haneeth and the Pistachio Fustokia. All in, we got 5 entrees and a dessert for under $85 with tax and tip!! The chicken and lamb were amazingly tender - both meats fell off the bone when I tried to pick them up to put on my plate. The Lahm Sogar was fantastic, and I can't stop eating the Fustokia. My partner went in to pick up the food and told me to make sure I rave about the service. He says they were so friendly and welcoming. I also want to mention that we ordered for my family - one of whom is allergic to dairy products, and they were very accommodating. When my fiancé tried to order the Fustokia, they told him it has dairy in it without us asking. He did mention the service seemed a bit slower than we're used to, so just come prepared to wait and don't expect them to be super speedy. This was my first time trying Yemeni food, and I can't wait to order from here again (and I really want to try the cheese kunafa)!Dietary restrictions: Dairy free, gluten free

Tried their lamb Mandi and for the price point of about $30 for a single meal the food lacked flavour. It felt fresh, juicy etc sure but there was no flavour to enjoy. Didn’t go back after that meal.
