My husband and I were married at Cecil Green Park House where Sage is the exclusive caterer, and our entire guest list who came from out of town all agreed that our wedding dinner was the best meal they had during their entire trip in Vancouver. Alita was our coordinator and she was incredibly helpful through the whole process and went above any beyond to make everything perfect. I found it odd that they didn't have a lager on their beer menu, nor could be get diet coke, only coke zero, however, none of our guests even noticed and the quality of the open bar was incredible, but wine I've ever had at a wedding for sure. Can't recommend Sage highly enough, no words could expressed how happy I am with the quality of the food, drinks, and service.

My cousins booked this restaurant for my uncle's celebration of life. Closest parking is at the Rose Garden for $10 for the day. Food was pretty tasty. The food was also well presented on the table. Because many of the guest lives in Vancouver West side, this was the closest venue. The restaurant was well decorated. Sage did a pretty good job and they made sure all the guests were well taken care of. I saw them making multiple rounds clearing plates.

We held our wedding at Sage Catering's Ideas Lounge, right next to UBC's Rose Garden, and we can't praise this venue enough! Alita, our Event Coordinator, was truly fantastic to work with, making everything easy and enjoyable. The venue itself is stunning, blending mid-century architecture with a warm and inviting atmosphere.The highlight was undoubtedly the food – our guests couldn't stop talking about it. We opted for the buffet menu (Wild Berry Salad, Harvest Salad, Charred Vegetable Medley, Roasted Potatoes, Mushroom Rigatoni, Pan Seared Salmon and Grilled Steak).The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring our guests had a great time.Sage made our wedding truly unforgettable. We highly recommend it for any special event!Amazing location, excellent food and top-notch service.

Fantastic food and the best service! We used Sage as our caterers for our wedding at Cecil Green. Alita was our coordinator at Sage and she was great! So helpful making sure we got all the dishes we wanted for our buffet menu and made extra sure all the allergy and dietary requirements were made which was one less thing to think about. The food was delicious! The mushroom pasta was our favourite and the servers were so nice, they even stashed a plate of it away so we could have some later on in the evening. We were worried there wouldn't be enough food as most of our wedding guests were rugby players, but there was enough for seconds and everyone loved the food. A huge thank you to Alita for dealing with all the emails, the serving staff for being so nice, we really felt like VIPs, and the bar staff for keeping the party going all night. We had the best time!

I have never had a bad experience using sage catering! in all honestly, I have nothing but positive things to say about this company. They have not only the best food, but incredible staff! Food quality and presentation are ALWAYS delicious and on point. “Incredible” is also an understatement for sage staff. This team is accommodating, responsive, extremely nice and always a pleasure to work with - in conclusion, I highly recommend sage for catering. If you’re looking for the best customer service, and amazing food, then sage should become your go-to for catering.

Sage is the exclusive caterer for Cecil Green Park House, so they come as a package. Still, I'd rather they didn't, given the mixed experience.First, the food was delicious - no complaints there. Communication was a bit more challenging. The people we dealt with at first seemed new in the job and struggled to answer questions that weren't totally run of the mill. Once Bogdan took over, everything cleared up. Thanks Bogdan!The menu for 2022 was delayed multiple times, and when it finally came out prices had been hiked by 25% on average (and vendor meals by, somehow, 60% - from $25 to $40). Sure, inflation etc, but I happen to know where to look this up - google "statcan personal inflation calculator" - and grocery price inflation in BC from Feb 2021 to Feb 2022 was 6.6%, and inflation in the "eating out" category in that same period was 3.3%.But my bigger issue with the price hike is fair dealing. Nothing would have stopped them from quoting higher prices to us in 2021, at a point where we could have made an informed choice. Once we book a date for a wedding, we're locked in, so a substantial price hike at a point where we can't shop around anymore just doesn't feel like doing business in good faith.All that said, the food was delicious and the event went great. If you're prepared for a cost overrun and a bit of micromanaging, I'd still very much recommend Cecil Green, and I'd recommend them even more enthusiastically if they offered a choice of caterer.

“I’M TELLING YOU THAT FOOD WAS SO GOOD!” These were the words of one of my good friends, whose husband is a chef and owns a restaurant on South Granville. Other quotes from my wedding guests include, “that steak was so incredibly tender” and, “Sablefish is my favourite, but it never tasted so good before!”. My vegan friend came up to me during dinner, fork in hand and said, “you have to try this. It’s the best mushroom I’ve ever had”. In fact, every time I ran into a friend after our wedding, the memory of the food would come back to them, and mid-sentence, their eyes would widen and they’d say, “oh my god! The food!” It was so rewarding to hear how the people I loved felt nourished and beyond satisfied with their meal at our wedding. The catering and bartending staff were also phenomenal! They were so friendly and helpful – I remember one staff who held my plate for me at the buffet while I held the train of my dress up. And I can’t thank Levi enough, who was our food and beverage manager. He always answered my emails in a timely way, and he managed to snag the last few rental patio warmers in the city before our October wedding.
