We bought a tiramisu cake for almost $40 to take to a friend's dinner. The cake looked fine but tasted terrible - mush without the ingredients and flavour of real tiramisu. Very expensive for such an small, awful tasting cake. Very disappointing! Will not buy from St. Germanin again!!!

The cakes are okay but we found them overpowering with sugar. The service needs to be better, we were not greeted upon entering the store and when we were ready to order, the cashiers just kept talking in their language with each other. I waited for them to notice us which took some time, when she boxed the cakes she just left the box at the front without communicating that it was ready. Just awful.

The cake was delicious. However they gave me the wrong cake. I ordered fresh mango. My friends got a laugh, but I won't be returning to this store again.

Baked goods par excellence, the butter cream eclair is so good!
I tried something different, the triple layer grilled cheese sandwich, not at all the grilled cheese I grew up with, perhaps instead the grilled cheese I should have grown up with, 😋
I love Chinese baked goods, I have bought delicious food at dozens of different bakeries. At none of them was the service good/friendly or the atmosphere pleasant, is this a cultural thing?

Very disappointed with their chestnut cake. Poorly made and totally not up to the standard.

Very good Asian bakery that also has refreshing cold drinks. This location had lobster rolls available today, and it came with a side of lobster bisque. I took the lobster roll home to try and it was very tasty and flavourful.

Something is not quite right with the coconut buns. The initial look is flat and wide. On first bite, the bread is not fluffy but thin. The filling is not sweet enough nor salty enough compared to the traditional flavour.
My favourite style of these Chinese buns is the coconut bun. I have tried most places locally as well as overseas. These ones are quite different but not in a good way. Fans of coconut buns might be disappointed.

Came here on a long weekend around lunchtime and they were sold out of all the most basic items. There were no coconut buns, ham and cheese buns, corn buns… what???

I was craving Black Forest cake and went to the E 33 location. However they were sold out and the staff there recommended me to try the kerrisdale branch. I made a call and the staff was very kind to set one aside for me. The shop had much to offer and I picked up my cake promptly upon arrival. Great food and great people

We went close to closing. Many products were sold out. It would be great if there was seating. Prices are reasonable. There are many options. We liked it.
I ordered a tiramisu and received something completely different. Weird texture, strange taste nothing like a real tiramisu. Very disappointing, especially for the price. It’s unacceptable to sell something so far from what was advertised
Convenient and good selection.
I’ve been a loyal customer at this bakery for years – until last night. My wife, mother-in-law, and I stopped by around 6:50 p.m. to pick up a few items and were craving coffee. When we asked for it, the cashier told us the coffee machine was ‘broken,’ which seemed off since it looked perfectly fine and clean. Curious, I stopped by this morning to check, and sure enough, the coffee machine was working. It seems they may have cleaned it early and just didn’t want to bother making coffee close to closing. Disappointing to see such laziness from a place I used to trust. Way to lose a loyal customer, Saint Germain Bakery. Btw they still dared to ask tip for this lol
