Like I mentioned in my other review at the Robson location, I go there more often since it’s closer to home.

But I have to say, I love the food here—it’s actually my favorite location. They really do it well. I always get the platter because I can never decide what I want, and I order a side of curry sauce with it.

If I’m sharing with someone, we usually add an extra order of cheese katsu. They make it the best!

This is the best Japanese katsu I had outside of Japan. Probably the only place I would recommend for katsu in Vancouver. I recommend the hire (fillet) katsu for a single person, and the zenbu (everything) katsu for 2-3 people to share. The rice, soup, and vegie are free.

The staff was super friendly and helpful and the food was heavenly
Be mindful that in this location u need to have all members in ur table present to be seated

Great Tonkatsu! I went with some friends and we all had different types of Tonkatsu and tried a bit of each other's. The more premium pok option was my favorite. It's worth the $3 extra to get more tender pork. Unlimited refills on the miso soup, cabbage salad, and rice definitely made me feel like I was getting good value. The peach lemonade was also delicious. Our server was very friendly. I just wish they had Asahi or Sapporo to enjoy with my Tonkatsu.

Had the chicken thigh katsu for a work lunch and it really delivered. The katsu was perfectly crispy and juicy, paired nicely with a refreshing cabbage salad and a rich, comforting pork-based soup.

A well-balanced, satisfying meal that felt hearty without being too heavy. Definitely a repeat-worthy lunch

My husband and I were craving good Tonkatsu and stumbled upon this place right next to my doctor’s building—what a find! The space is clean, modern, and minimalist, which we really appreciated.

We ordered the Mini Zenbu Katsu tray, which had a bit of everything: crispy pork loin and pork fillet, shrimp, scallops, and our favorite—the cheese Katsu (melty aged mozzarella wrapped in thin sliced pork and fried to perfection). We also tried the Oroshi Katsu tray—crispy pork loin topped with a refreshing radish salad.

Both came with unlimited rice, miso soup, and cabbage salad with sesame dressing—fresh and flavorful. The pickled veggies were a nice bonus: perfectly sweet and tangy.

It’s a bit on the pricey side, but the quality and experience were absolutely worth it. We’ll definitely be coming back!

My favourite place in Vancouver, I think. Food’s always on point. I eat here when I miss my travels to Japan.

We love that they have chicken katsu options here as my husband doesn’t eat pork. Their house made sesame dressing is delicious and I wish they would sell it!

Saku continues to deliver solid tonkatsu, just as it always has. The staff are very friendly, and the food is consistently delicious. Rice, miso soup, and salad are available for refills upon request, but I can't help but feel like the tonkatsu portions have gotten a bit smaller over time. The price has always been on the higher end at Saku, and it seems to be gradually increasing as well.

I’ve been to this place many times. Initially, I wasn’t thrilled with the service, but I kept coming back because the food is always great!

Today, I really want to give a shoutout to one of the waitresses. I can't quite recall her name, but I think it was something like Ashe. She was amazing! We were a big group, stayed a bit late, and brought our own dessert (we had permission by phone call ahead of time), but she continued to provide outstanding service the whole time. I really appreciate her effort and patience!
