?️✨Sala Thai is, without a doubt, the most adorable Asian restaurant I have ever visited. The themed decoration is charming and creates a very special atmosphere. From the moment you enter, the attention is 10 points. ??
The Pad Thai is the best I have ever tasted, even though I have a lot of experience tasting this delicious food. ?? Also, the Cho Ladda is another must-have: steamed floral dumplings filled with minced chicken, peanuts and palm sugar, topped with dried garlic. A true delight! ??
They also have many gluten-free options, which is perfect for those with dietary restrictions. Without a doubt, Sala Thai is a place that you cannot miss. ??️

This was easily the best Thai restaurant in Vancouver. I miss it so much and really hope it makes a return in some capacity
We had a party to celebrate my friend, and there were 9 of us. The restaurant was able to set up a semi-private table for us, allowing us to enjoy the food, chat loudly lol, and take lots of photos. We had a great time. One of my friends, who wasn't familiar with Thai food, became addicted to it and learned a lot about Thai cuisine. The service was professional, and the food was amazing.

Always meant to visit Sala Thai downtown and finally visited in mid-April after they announced they would be closing.
The interior with all the wood and decorative pieces were nice. It had a spacious interior and I could see why this place may have been popular in the past.
Ordered the lunch special green curry ($19) which comes with a simple green salad and the spicy drunken noodles ($19). Not a bad price for downtown lunch.
Also got the chicken satay ($6) and Thai iced tea with lime twist ($8)
Food wise, it was ok but it wasn't the best either. Chicken satay was kinda dry and the curry lacked flavour. Maybe they were just calling it in since they were closing up.
Service was also lacking. They completely forgot someone's order and didn't even think twice when they were bringing out everyone else's dishes. Had to flag someone down to ask about it and they didn't even apologize for forgetting to put the order in.

Feeling sad to see the departure of this long time downtown Thai restaurant.

Food was terrible. Pad Thai noodles are undercooked and the kaeng jued tofu soup is bland and the tofu tasted off and we’re tofu lovers. The mens washroom is dirty and there’s old graffiti on the doors
Was super excited to eat dinner here one last time before the restaurant sadly closed down forever.Everything was going great for my friend and I, but our server rolled her eyes at us when we asked for a second container for our takeout. So rude!!! And we had been nothing but nice to her. I don't understand why she was so annoyed with us and not the tables besides us. Really disappointing way to tarnish my last experience at what was one of my fave restaurants................We really enjoy this place for its authentic and tasty Thai food. Service was a little slow for my liking but our servers were all really nice.My favorite dish has to be the pad sieew with pork. Absolutely delicious and so tasty! I honestly prefer these noodles over the pad thai. The only annoying part of our dinner was the family of 6 old Caucasian people next to us. I was having dinner with my cousins and there were a few times where we broke out in laughter as we caught up with one another. One of the old ladies next to us had the audacity to turn around and pretty much told us to shut up.First of all, we weren't yelling at each other throughout our conversation. We spoke in a perfectly acceptable volume. If we decide to break out in laughter here and there then that should be no issue.Second, if you're looking for a quiet dinner then I suggest you stay home. In an Asian restaurant especially, families come together to eat and bond. My cousins and I don't need to be told to shut up by a bunch of old white people.

Go for the red curry. It’s the right spice for Indian tastebuds and is not as dry as pad graw pao.

Food was way to sweet. Desert too small (and not very good) and the poor servers understaffed meaning it was hard to get some service.

Kid-friendliness: Family Oriented Diner, once again confirm with Owners/Staffs. Not all diners are suitable for kids due to its selections menus options or its food menu ( no kids menu options ) or environment ( music too loud will scare the children or food too spicy etc.. ) best to confirm with Staffs to make sure everyone including the little ones will enjoy their meals with peace with their mommy/daddy and others in the restaurant.

Went there today for lunch, ordered green curry and fried drunken noodles. Quality is bad, could find a piece of basil leaves in the noodles which is listed in the ingredients of the dish, also sodium level way too high. Chicken is too rough.

This place has really went downhill no wonder they are closing. The only reason why I came was because they are closing their doors on April 28th 2024. It wasn’t even worth the last visit. The service was horrible, the food was not worth the value and everything was lacking in flavor. I ordered a pad Thai and they brought the tomato version but I wanted the one made with tamarind sauce. They took it back and said they will re make it and it took an hour by that time we were done our dinner and the dish was awful. We also ordered a green curry with chicken and the was cold. I told the server and she brought it to the kitchen microwaved it for maybe 20 seconds and brought it back out. It still wasn’t hot enough very un-enjoyable experience. For those who use to know this place as authentic Thai I’m sure many would be disappointed as seeing the last couple weeks of service the restaurant doesn’t take pride to make their restaurant memorable.
