3/18/2024This is the definition of a great hole in the wall. It didn't look like much and when we got there, there weren't many people so I was a bit concerned. But, by the time we got our food there was a line out the door. The teriyaki chicken was really good and my wife and daughter liked their sushi rolls. The server was really nice. We were extremely satisfied with the experience.

I used to love Samurai which is why it is so disappointing to see its food quality go downhill. Last few times I ordered takeout, the fish was not fresh. Spicy tuna, chopped scallop, negi toro and sashimi all tasted fishy. I will not be returning.

The food quality has always been poor. The big appeal used to be big portions and reasonable prices. Now the portions have shrunk and the prices went up. It is not worth going to this place.

The food isn't good as before. Attic clam tastes like it's rotten. I wonder if they passed the food safety regulations.

Happened to pass by and saw their Happy Hour, it’s nothing fancy and thought it might be dodgy but I saw many people eating. Then this guy picking up a delivery said ‘it’s good here’ so that got me in there. What can I say? The price is absolutely out of Vancouver, it’s unbelievably cheap! $4.50 for a roll! That is happy hour but Is saw the regular price is just $1-2 more! I ordered Takoyaki and BC roll. I thought maybe it is small size coz of the price. They gave free hot green tea too. When my order came it was fast, and huge rolls! And its delicious! Takoyaki was hot and yummy and can taste the cuttlefish. Really tasty. My total bill was just over $10 which is unbelievable and good portion. The rolls is just how I like it. The rice is not mushy like other restos. I gave a $2 and will definitely be my go to when I crave for Japanese food! Highly recommended! The staff are very pleasant and a lot of them there, fast and courteous.
