I love this place. It's open late but be warned, they only take cash and it's busy!

This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the lower mainland. It is always filled with locals and they accept cash only. Open late.
I'll add photos next time! I go at least once a month.

WORST Chinese restaurant experience in Vancouver

If I could give negative stars, I would. I was completely misled by all the overwhelming 5-star reviews — felt totally TRAPPED.

• Salt and pepper squid: Not crispy, just warm and undercooked.
• Clams: Not fresh at all. Tasted like they’d been sitting out for hours.
• Wonton noodles: Bland, pale, and sad. Doesn’t deserve to be called wonton noodles.
• Pan-fried fish (didn’t bother to take photo): Greasy, dry, and cooked in what tasted like rancid oil.

Nothing was hot, fresh, or satisfying. I would not recommend this place at all.

It had been a while since we last dined out together. To our surprise, this restaurant managed to keep its prices reasonable—four main dinner dishes and a lobster for just $115. The food was quite good. The stir-fried vegetables were cooked perfectly: tender but still crisp, unlike at some places around town where they're often overdone. The beef was well-seasoned and pleasantly tender, not chewy at all. The seafood tasted fresh and clean, rounding out a satisfying meal.

We were very pleased with the service and will definitely come back in the near future.

Great deal on combo dinner. Taste is acceptable.

In the area and tried Sandy La. Fast and friendly service. Huge portions of tasty food. I have been here a few times and then only Chinese customers- which says something - they know what is good. Good prices. Free parking.

So authentic and tasty! We love this place and it is our go-to spot for Chinese food! It's always busy inside the restaurant with people and people picking up takeout, it's super popular!

Great spot if you're looking for quick service and good portion sizes. The food came out incredibly fast after we ordered, and the Hainanese chicken was a standout dish—tender and flavorful. While some dishes were better than others, overall the quality was solid. The service was friendly and efficient, making it a pleasant dining experience.
