By far the best Thai restaurant in BC and perhaps all of Canada . I have been going there since 1988 and the quality of food, service and friendly staff is top notch . Owned and operated by an authentic Thai family it’s been beautiful to see the young lads who were well trained by their parents now running the restaurant like a first class establishment . Look no further if you want the best of the best. Strong recommendations . Garlic Beef. Garlic Broccoli Red Curry Chicken Satay Chicken or Pork with Peanut Sauce !! Enjoy

One of the better Thai restaurants that we've had recently. Definitely worth a try if you haven't been.

I had a great experience at Sawasdee Thai !
We ordered:
1. Tom Yum Soup (small): It was very delicious.
2. Thai Chicken Satay with Peanut Sauce: The sauce was amazing, and the chicken was perfectly cooked.
3. Pad Thai: It had fantastic flavours.
4. Crying Tiger Beef: My favorite dish!

The atmosphere was cozy, and the service was excellent. Highly recommend visiting!

Delicious. Got the Tom yum tofu, pad pak (veggie), pad kra Pao (chicken) && We added the spicy house sauce which really set everything off. Highly recommend!

One of the best restaurants in Vancouver, and honestly if you haven't tried real Thai cuisine before, this is a life changing experience

This restaurant has been one of my families favourite restaurants on main for the last 30 years. I don't think I've ever been disappointed. Love the green curry, pad Thai, and recently have been enjoying the pan fried red paste/green beans/tofu!

I want to share some feedback from our recent visit. We were told there would be a one-hour wait for a table, so we agreed and waited patiently inside. Because it was quite hot, we bought a small cup of ice cream while waiting. To our surprise, we were called in after just 20 minutes.

Since the ice cream was already purchased and still being eaten, we brought it in with us (it was just a small single scoop) not to break any rules, but simply to avoid wasting food. We were aware of the ‘no outside food’ policy, but didn’t expect to be seated so soon.

Unfortunately, the server addressed the situation in a very unkind manner. Even after we explained, she later returned and took the cup away and threw it saying “We don’t allow outside food” This felt extremely disrespectful, especially given that we placed a full order including drinks, mains, and dessert (which she forgot to bring at the end)

To add to that, our salad had visible dirt on the lettuce, which really lowered the overall experience. I hope the restaurant considers this feedback.

Superb Thai restaurant in Main street, you will get the authentic taste. Thai staffs are so nice, polite. Amazing!!! 5-stars review.

This is a long-established Thai restaurant in Vancouver, but it unfortunately caters more to Western tastes. Despite its longevity, the restaurant is often overcrowded. The numerous waitresses are not attentive to the customers, which detracts from the experience. The atmosphere is noisy and uncomfortable, making it far from suitable for a pleasurable dining experience. Tips were added to the bill and were totally unacceptable.

Good portions, good service, and incredibly tasty! Book a reservation on the weekends as it can get quite busy.

Really good food, lots of gluten free options. My only hesitation—It wasn’t very toddler friendly; the staff seem quite annoyed that my toddler was walking around (I understand that they’re trying to work and serve tables). The other challenge was parking— it took me 20min to find paid parking which ended up being 4 blocks away

Very nice Thai food ! I had a hard time finding coconut rice in other places.
