I’m really disappointed with my first experience at Sharetea UBC. I ordered a Mango Milk Tea and clearly asked for only 25% sweetness. What they failed to mention was that the mango they use is not fresh or light like most places it’s an artificial jam-like syrup that is extremely sweet by default.
When I took the first sip, it was shockingly sweet. I told the staff right away, but instead of offering a refund or even acknowledging the issue, they refused to help despite me telling them it was my first time there and I had asked them to guide me.
I even offered to buy another drink if they could refund just half of the first one. I didn’t even drink it literally not more than 3mm below the lid, which they could easily verify on their security camera.
Very unprofessional and disappointing service. I ended up leaving the drink there as a treat for them because I simply couldn’t drink it. Won’t be coming back.

Taro milk tea had a really unpleasant chemical/oil taste to it which made me dump the whole thing out. avoid the taro milk tea

Sharetea UBC makes pretty good boba, but there is room for improvement in terms of service. It took 20 minutes for two staff to make only two teas, and there was nobody else in line. Seemingly, there weren't online orders they were working on, either; the delay was really confusing. I got the wintermelon half sugar with boba, and my friend got brown sugar with boba. Both were delicious, and the boba was great in texture. It's a decent spot to get a bubble tea on campus if you're not in a rush!

The Wintermelon Tea tastes like beef. Don’t order unless you’re vegan and want to taste meat again. Everything else is good, I would recommend the Classic Bubble Tea. The staff are friendly and patient.
