Great service. Good food, especially Bah Kuh Teh and Chicken Rice.

Love Shiok, the price to value is unbeatable. If you are wanting Malaysian food, this is definitely the place to go. I've always been going to their New West location, so first time here. Same quality and great service. Great place for meetings because the music is soft and not blasting loud music.

Authentic! The price is right, and the food quality is good and tasty.

A delightful and excellent dinner experience to have home food away from home. Very satisfied and gratified.
I highly recommend the beef and chicken satay.

This place is a gem for Singaporean cuisine lovers! As someone from Singapore, I was thrilled to find such authentic flavors here. We had satay, rendang puff, laksa, mee siam, which was tangy, spicy, and just right, plus some delightful chwee kueh and kaya puffs that were flaky and rich with that familiar pandan-coconut flavor. Truly shiok!

The food is soooo good! We got the roti prata, satay and seafood laksa and everything was delicious

The Singaporean Hainanese chicken came out at microwave temperature with rice that was completely soggy and mushy. There were also no ginger sauce included. ❌❌❌

The Kopi-C and Teh-C were both so watered down they tasted like nothing. It was basically like using half a packet of 3-in-1 instant coffee mix with way more than three times the amount of water it should have.

I do want to say that the staff and the restaurant's decorations were great though.

After reading some recent reviews, it seems like other customers have had the same experience.
So sorry to say this, but I don't see a good future for this restaurant unless the owner fixes these really basic cooking mistakes.

Good luck. 🤞🏻

Definitely this is a hidden gem. The snacks are so flavourful. I had the beef and the curry chicken empanadas. And a delicious coffee. It felt so welcoming. I highly recommend it.

Great neighborhood restaurant. They take great care with their chicken rice - the chicken itself is tender and well-seasoned, their sambal chili is deliciously tangy and just the right amount of spicy.

...But the rice itself was the coup de grace. Chicken stock flavor really shone through, the touch of ginger to really complement the chicken, and just the right amount of oil to add the richness without overwhelming the palate with grease.

Everyone in the area should drop by once, if only for the chicken rice.

Delicious Singaporean food!!!

We ordered from Shiok Singaporean Cuisine for a work presentation on Singapore. We called ahead and ordered through Uber Eats for delivery, the restaurant was so kind and accommodating for all our requests (we requested for items to be cut up smaller and the satay to be taken off the skewers so it's easier for everyone try small bites). EVERYONE in our office LOVED the food we ordered which included chicken satay, beef satay, beef rendang puffs, curry chicken puffs and roti prata. All the food was well organized and packaged nicely making it easy to transfer/carry to our office.

There was special praise from our office for the satay skewers (a must try if you ever order from here!). The pairing sauces for the roti and skewers were extra scrumptious as well!

Attached is a picture of our spread :) Would definitely order from here again!!

PS, we were unable to at the time, but if you can, it's best to order directly from the restaurant and pick-up so they get all the commission and don't need to pay third party fees :)

🤌 So good! Laksa is gold and the staff is super friendly.

The beef rendang puff was very disappointing, the pastry was very small and overpriced. The beef inside was very dry and tasteless. Total waste of money! It's way better to buy it from a Chinese bakery instead. Because of this, I don't even feel like trying the rest of the menu... I don't wanna get more disappointed...

Great authentic Singaporean food. Ordered from Uber eats a few times and finally tried to eat in the restaurant. Food came out very quickly, and it tasted delicious. Bandung drink was great per usual! Kaya toast was yummy, too. Would come back!

I recently dined at Shiok during my visit to Vancouver. The food is authentically Singaporean, not some Singapore-Western fusion cuisine. It is as if I was teleported to a Singapore hawker center.

The Nyonya Laksa is to die for—its rich, creamy coconut-infused broth, accentuated with spiced shrimp and aromatic herbs, is pure comfort in a bowl. The Hainanese Chicken Rice lives up to its fame, pairing melt-in-your-mouth poached chicken with fragrant, broth-steamed rice. Their soft and smooth Chwee Kueh with crunchy savory preserved radish brought back fond memories of my childhood breakfast. The Pandan Chiffon Cake is fluffy, airy crumb infused with aromatic pandan.

As a Singaporean who has lived in both Seattle and the San Francisco Bay Area for decades, I’ve found Shiok to deliver exceptionally authentic Singaporean cuisine—easily among the finest I’ve experienced on the West Coast, and a strong contender for top-tier status in North America.
