I love the freshness of their tea and the free shipping over $50.

Great tea, perfect for gifting to tea lovers.

The tea is mediocre, and sold in tins labeled “40 cups” instead of the actual weight - a tiny tin will last maybe 10-15 actually cups. There is much better tea in Vancouver.

The girl that was working here was so rude and couldn't care less to help us. She had a "please don't bother me" attitude when my friend and I were inquiring about the teas. We didn't feel welcomed and felt as though we were bothering her, although we were the only ones in the store. Will not be returning again in future only to be made extremely uncomfortable.

I really only buy tea from here, have been doing so for years. Love that it’s locally founded and all organic. Because it’s organic, I was told the lapsang souchong doesn’t leave an acrid back of tongue taste like other brands do. One thing I think would add a lot would be improving the overall in-store experience, ie. if they had staff that were as passionate about, and loved to share info, stories, taste tests, as much as staff at other local tea stores do, rather than just an in-and-out purchasing experience. Would be nice if the smellable samples were self-serve too instead of hidden behind the counter. Because of this, I feel like I don’t fully know their whole line of teas and just keep buying my favourite three types. They were closed at one point near end of day when their Google hours said they were open, so they kindly gave me a little discount for the inconvenience. Thank you for that and for the superb tea! ☺️

Our go-to tea store. Friendly service and great selection of tea.

Love this store! Their tea is incredible, the Winter Warrior tea is my personal fav but every tea I try is heavenly. The team is always so knowledgable and friendly. Highly recommend!!!

The best tea in town! Try the smoky lapsang souchong or the earthy pu'ehr. The staff are nice and helpful. I miss the days when they would give you tasters and let you open the tins and smell the teas, but now they're being very safe (Covid). A bit pricy but you get what you pay for.

Silk Road Tea is my premiere destination for Christmas shopping. The quality, value and in-store experience is second to none in Vancouver. Highly recommend.

Did my shopping online. Was a little concerned about how long delivery would take. I ordered on a Friday morning, got a email Friday afternoon with a confirmation of shipment. Received my order on Sunday.?

UPDATE: The store gave me a generous discount and gift in apology for my inconvenience, and I was really satisfied with this. They really made the effort and I appreciate it.I'm sure this store is lovely, but have to let the public know not to trust the website nor the storefront sign in terms of hours open. I went to the store during business hours, and checked the website before I left to make sure it was open. The site said it was open. When I got there, the sign on the door said it was closed due to weather, but to check the website for up to date hours. Pictures attached for reference. One hand isn't speaking to the other :(

UPDATE : They will ask you how their staff did, when you tell them (which wasn’t even the main problem) you get a no sorry email telling you how well they train their staff ????Do not fall in the trap of wasting more time emailing back m forth. You won’t be compensated!! (Which wasn’t even what I was looking for but the reply to this review) utter disappointment!Edit: emailed the receipt on the address provided and will update the response. Price was checked on the website and it is what I was charged for the same amount of tea, just that mine was in a brown paper bag. I’ve emailed the i store experience as well which wasn’t very pleasant but don’t really care about it if I had gotten the product right. We drove all the way to buy tea. Paid for the largest size and asked the lady to put it in resealable bags. She said they only had tins and I asked her to charge me for it and give it in the tin. I was charged for tin but got it in a paper bag which got all wet in the rain outside.Utterly disappointed in the customer service. $54 down the lane

UNBLIVBLY unfriendly and actually customer deterring staff.. They used to be excellent few years ago.. I even had one of their "tea parties" and spent a fortune over the years buying teas for myself and as gifts...However, a few times over the past year I had a really bad experience with their unwelcoming and rude staff so I decided to not shop there as much.. Luckily, I have found much much better substitutes for my favorite herbal teas. Today, I was kinda craving London Fog so I decided to go there. Honestly, the staff were so unwelcoming that I felt more like an intruder than a customer!!! so, I decided to walk out and didn't buy...I am sure I will find a better substitute for that one too.... Do they intentionally hire the most unfriendly sales people in town???? I only wonder...

I bought a tea infuser as a stocking stuffer gift for my wife and it fell apart shortly into the New Year. I'd meant to go see about getting it replaced but forgot about it for awhile and then in April finally got around to checking about it. I no longer had the receipt but the store manager still provided me with a replacement and was super friendly through the whole exchange. Excellent customer service, thank you!

New discovery, a barista recommended it for some allergy relief. Some things are a tad pricey but you can tell that the quality is there. The young lady that assisted me was patient and friendly ?. I will certainly be back - new gift spot.
