Their ikura recently is not properly prepared. Very salty and not heated to an orange color. It looks still blood red raw
Great price on various (frozen) smoked salmon. Much more convenient to my family's home in SE Van than going down to Granville Island, and probably a lot less expensive.
Great selection. Good service.
Found this place by accident a few years back, can't say Enough GREAT things about this little hiddem gem!!! Best selection, always Best prices and Great service! Plus supporting a local Vancouver business is always a plus!!
They sell tuna sashimi! I made my own tuna nigiri and negitoro to accommodate to my friends. It was yum. They also sell octopus, jumbo shrimps, cod, salmon, crab, so much more!
Such a great selection and good prices.
Great customer service
The best gluten and dairy free battered fish (for fish and chips) there is!
Excellent Quality products! Recommend

Your gluten free batter is absolutely fantastic! My favourite: your battered cod on the BBQ!
Hands down, my favourite seafood supplier. The Salmon Bacon and Salmon Hams are beyond amazing. The smoked salmon nuggets have the perfect amount of smoke and sweet flavours. The jarred tuna loins are ideal for pastas or sandwiches or whatever tickels your fancy. I've been a customer for a few years, and will continue to be one for many, many more.
I've been looking for white spring salmon for a while. Finally found it when we were about to visit Northern Cafe. We ran into a fish wholesaler we know in the lumber yard. Turns out he has a new operation called Coldfish, very impressive and HUGE. He gave us a tour of the fish processing plant. One thing I noticed is that it does not smell fishy. We even saw how they scrub the whole delivery truck! Then he showed us the Simply West Coast seafood shop that opens seven days a week from 10am to 6pm. I've been to fish shops in Kits and even in Granville Island, the smell is usually disgusting and super fishy. But not Simply West Coast. The cleanliness is very impressive. I was overwhelmed with the number of different kinds of fish they have, and instantly calculated how much freezer space I have. Most impressive is the white spring salmon which we steamed the next day. We usually pick up fish from the local Fresh St. Market which brings in fresh fish daily. But this spring salmon which we didn't cook until a day later tasted fresher than our usual fresh fish delivery and the texture was so nice. That's what fresh fish is supposed to taste like! We are very happy to have found this place. The amount of seafood variety is amazing. We're going to have some amazing seafood meals from now on. I was actually getting really bored with the variety from our local grocery store. One thing though, if I had found their website instead of running into the owner, I would not have ventured to the shop because the seafood pictures on the website are small and not very attractive looking. So, don't let the website fool you, drive down and take a look inside – there's so much more stuff in the shop that is not listed on the website!
Great place to get fresh fish, seasonal spot prawns, clams and crabs. I wish the used the old supplier for the frozen Argentinan prawns. I like getting fresh fish trimmings when available
Happy to have found this gem in the neighbourhood. Soups and seafood selection are amazing! Can’t wait to go back to try more options.
