RIP OFF!! Ordered take out for Daal and Paneer only to find out at home that the containers were only half way full. Called the owner of the restaurant who is so RUDE and he refused to accept the complaint and laughed it off. They are charging full price and only packing half the food and the food was not even good. Many other Indian restaurants with better food. See picture of half the order and they refused to replace or refund.

An unexpected find while strolling through Vancouver’s colorful and trendy Gastown. The spicy and richly flavored goat curry paired with steaming basmati rice was outstanding. If only cold beers were available to wash it down. The simple but delightful meal was the surprise of a full and busy day.

I placed a take away order for lunch(dal-makkhni, naan and roti). While daal tasted good but the overall quantity was too less for 2 people and was too watery.The naan was not roasted enough and tasted raw at some point.They gave some complimentary rice that saved us as we had that with watery daal.May order again to try some other dish.Parking: Street parking is there
Such good food. All the restaurants around are packed. We have been in Canada for 3 weeks and most restaurants do the same sort of foods and we were craving an Indian! There was no one inside the Sitar, we contemplated not going in - we were so glad we did! We eat a lot of curry at home in the UK and, although different to UK Indian restaurant food, this was delicious. I had the chicken spinach curry with a medium heat. We would totally recommend this restaurant.

Got the Mango Lassi and the Goat Masala (medium spice level) that comes with pilau rice and papad. Flavours are a solid A but the goat meat is dry and hard. The papad has a great texture and lightly fried, not oily at all. Mango Lassi tastes fantastic! Dined at 6:30pm on a Wednesday. Great atmosphere and fast service.
