Our initial experience at Skewers Souvlaki Bar was highly disappointing. My husband and I had looked forward to a nice dinner, but it ended up ruining our evening. The restaurant was almost empty, with just one other couple dining and no one else waiting on food. We ordered our meals promptly, expecting a quick turnaround given the circumstances.
However, we waited for over an hour, and no one from the restaurant approached us during that time. We noticed that another couple, who arrived much later, received the same dishes we had ordered, yet they were served well before us. When we politely raised the issue with a staff member, he offered a simple “sorry” and walked away without addressing the delay or offering a solution. Frustrated and hungry, we eventually left without eating. By then, it was too late to go anywhere else, so we went home disappointed and without dinner.
After posting our first review, the owner responded publicly, asking us to email him so he could “make it right.” We did email, as requested, but received no response. It’s disheartening to see an attempt at customer care in public, only to be ignored in private. This entire experience has shown a lack of genuine concern for customers. We won’t be returning, and we encourage others to consider our experience before dining here.

Finally had the chance to try this highly rated Greek restaurant and it’s definitely worth the hype! Ordered the Mixed Grill platter and everything was so flavourful. Definitely the best Greek food I’ve had in Vancouver. SO FREAKIN GOOD. Went on a Friday around lunch time so only waited for about 10 minutes for a table. Friendly staff, however the waitresses could’ve been a little bit more attentive. Had to ask a couple of times to get our bill but other than that very pleasant experience, highly recommend!

I went there for dinner with my boyfriend. We ordered the mixed grilled platter and that was more than enough food for 2 people! It comes with beef, lamb, chicken, salad and fries. The restaurant is not very big, but it gives you this cute and cozy feeling. Definitely some of the best Greek foods in town! Bonus - they bring you free desert before you pay! ;)

My friend and I got the chicken platter to share, it came with 2 skewers, fries, pita, salad, tzatziki, and at the end we got compliment dessert that consisted of 2 cream puffs and some whipped cream.
Overall, the food itself was decent, I personally didnt find the chicken to have much flavour, however the fries with pita and tzatziki made up for it.
The restaurant is quite small with about 4 indoor seats (outdoor seating is available) and can get a bit noisy.

Food was amazing ! Best Greek food I’ve had in the city by far. Got the chicken platter for two and a lamb gyro.
Chicken and lamb were both moist and flavourful. Also had complimentary dessert at the end which was incredibly generous of the restaurant. Will definitely be back !
