the best almond croissant I've ever tasted.
This place is like 90% of the fancy coffee shops in Vancouver: with wonderful atmosphere, a great place to chill, fantastic over-priced but delicious baked goods and (most likely bitter) hit n miss coffee. I’m not some pompous coffee aficionado. I’d just like to get what I pay for.

Not sure what the hype is with this place! It’s grossly overpriced - and some of the worst coffee I’ve ever had. Tastes so acidic and rancid I couldn’t drink it. Ordered a cold brew with vanilla cold foam and it was awful. Not balanced, and I wasted $8+ on it just to throw it in the trash. Also they don’t accept cash which is insane and hopefully they feel the repercussions of that idiotic decision!

respectfully why am I paying $9.50 for an iced matcha this tiny. They come unsweetened too. From Both a price and taste perspective, there are way better options in the city.
Latte is basically just a cup of milk for $8, always toocrowded, the benches are uncomfortable and not levelled properly with the tables (seating is too high)

It’s good but could use some improvement. For such an expensive coffee shop, they are missing some very basic items. Why don’t they have coconut milk? Why don’t they have stevia? Nobody wants Splenda (sucralose) in 2026, when better alternatives are available. I am forced to go to Starbucks because they can’t accommodate my preferences here.

This location is an improvement in terms of order/traffic flow. You enter in one door, line up in front of the wide display of all the baked goods, and then move towards the till to place your order. The coffee station is the last step where the coffee drinks are called out. I had already learned from the 5th Avenue location that I cannot touch the chickpea Marsala Sandwich. So, the only other thing I can enjoy here is the scone, which is one of my favourites. It is brushed with eggs but the batter does not contain eggs. My partner tried the raisin swirl once, claiming that it had more crispy bits on top. But I found that too sweet for my taste. The espresso drinks are always expertly made. In their effort to make the seating uncomfortable (perhaps!), the benches are unusually high. We've noticed that the kitchen is very efficient in replenishing stock in the display counter which means I have a good chance at ordering my favourite scone while waiting for my turn to order.
