fantastic food. Every one of the 7 dishes we ordered was killer. Service was extremely good— attentive and thoughtful thinking of the kids as well. Must try!

My friend took me here as a surprise.
It's a great location on fraser street. Fantastic addition to the neighbourhood.
Today the owners son was helping out front and let me tell you, his service is amazing, 5/5!

The owners, the mother and father work in the kitchen. My friend chose the Korean hot pot. Our server informed us that if it's salty he'll come with beef broth. We felt even with the broth added, which is hugely appreciated, for some reason it was still a touch too salty. It’s fine we just added water. The side dishes are free and the seaweed is delicious. The decor is very up to date and clean. I love their setup. The tables are lovely and the booths are comfortable. I would come back again to try their pork dish where you roll them with lettuce.

We walked in for lunch on a random weekday. We were greeted quickly and seated. We ordered two items, both were delicious and there was enough to share with our child as well. Service was excellent. Will definitely be coming back again for more meals.

The staff here were very kind and attentive. I really appreciated how often they checked in for side dishes and water. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The doenjang jjigae was overly salty, the meat was tough, and the rice seemed old. The summer special naengmyeon was just average. Overall, great service but the food didn’t quite meet expectations.

Lovely experience at this local establishment. The food was delectable and yet mediocre. The Gamjatang is worth ordering again. But the bulgogi was over cooked imo. Overall the food was good, but not quite great.
The restaurant atmosphere seemed very well used but not as clean and kept up as one may expect.
Would still be a location to recommend if in the area.

Food is gd but not excellent. Side dishes are best.

I happened to walk into a place called ‘Sohyang’ by chance.
I ordered the hot stone bibimbap and tteokbokki, and they exceeded my expectations.
It’s a Korean restaurant that’s definitely good enough to recommend.

The tteokbokki had a bit of a unique twist — it wasn’t the best I’ve had, but still decent.
As a Korean, I know we tend to be quite particular when it comes to Korean food,
so I have to be honest in my assessment.
That said, I think locals would probably find it quite tasty.

The servers were also very friendly.

Some of the best Korean food in Vancouver, in my opinion.

Good Korean Resto, but i think Korean Restos in the Philippines are much better...

Came in on a Wednesday for an early (430pm) dinner. Not busy with only 3 other small tables dining. Was greeted and seated right away.

Ordered the Mandoo (deep fried pork dumplings) to start and the K12 Yook Gae Jan (Spicy beef stew with veggie and sweet potato noodle with egg drop). Plus a ginger ale. Traditional side dishes of sea weed, sprouts, Kim Chee cabbage and fish cakes came with the main order.

The Mandoo was great - crunchy exterior texture with delicious pork inside. Dipped in the accompanying vinegar, it was devoured rather quickly.

The Yook Gae Jan came pretty quickly. Temperature hot with a nice spice level that wouldn’t overwhelm most. Everything worked well - the beef, vegetables, noodles all made for a delicious dish with the bowl of rice helping to finish off the remaining soup a perfect completion to the dish.

Service was quick and friendly, and a second helping of the side dishes was brought when the first set was finished.

Reservations are not taken so if you arrive at the normal dinner time I wouldn’t be surprised to have a little bit of a wait. So Hyang is a neighbourhood gem in the Fraser Street treasure chest of so many great dining options to choose from. Highly recommend!

The service and atmosphere were authentic, and I really appreciated how friendly and attentive the waitstaff were. However, there were a few disappointing aspects to the food.

The **Sul Leong Tang** lacked depth in flavor, likely because it only included sliced beef instead of beef with bone, which is essential for a richer broth. The Seafood Doenjang Soup)** was salty and didn’t have much seafood, which made the high price feel unjustified.

As for the seafood pancake, it was just average and definitely not worth the CAD $27 price tag.

While the hospitality was excellent, the quality and value of the dishes left a lot to be desired.
