The food was good, slightly better than expected. However, Song cafe has a powder in the men washroom that I cannot
stand. Overall, I think it was a good experience.

Great HK cafe food. Beef chow fun was very good. Beef brisket curry was good, could use a little more coconut milk but was tasty. Portuguese chicken was good. Great service.

Visited Song Cafe and overall had a good experience. The food was tasty — we ordered the fried tofu and a steak combo, both came out flavorful and well-prepared. The environment is cozy and comfortable, making it a nice spot to sit and enjoy a meal.

The only downside was that the service felt a bit understaffed, so our food took around 20–35 minutes to arrive at the table. Still, once it came, everything was delicious and worth the wait.

Ps need to call the restaurant to get free parking, there's a private and secure parking lot right across the restaurant, where you call and theybopen the gate for you

Ordered Black pepper fried Chicken with rice. Unfortunately we don’t like the sour taste and feedback to waiter. She is very patient to explain us this is the sauce taste, and also helping us to change to another dish if we don’t like. Then we order another Curry Beef Brisket Rice. It is very tasteful and fresh for the beef. The potato is not putting into the sauce a long time. We can feel the potato just baked and put on it which is very crispy on the potato surrounding. At the same time, we also order one chicken Fried Instant noodle, it seems not hot enough and coming with very wet not dry. Hope to improve on it. Thanks for the excellent waiter service.

Ordered the 3 protein set, salmon, pan fried chicken and pork cutlet. The salmon arrived raw in the middle. When we showed the waitress, she said nothing and just took the plate back to the kitchen. We finished all of our food and the salmon finally arrived…

There was no acknowledgement or communication on how long it’ll take. At the end we wanted to order more food but was yelled at by this larger Chinese guy that we didn’t understand the menu. It literally said on the lunch menu “thick toast” and that was what we wanted to order. We ended up just saying never mind and paid for our bill. The food was okay, portion size is good but you’re choosing quantity over quality here. The unfriendliness of the large Asian guy really deterred us from wanting to come back. The entire experience was very negative, I don’t want to be yelled at while I’m paying to be there.

Hidden gem discovered when I had breakfast after dropping off someone at VGH. As a Hongkonger, I can’t say it is 100% authentic but the chef has corrected some common weakness of HK style restaurants. E.g. the satay beef of a rice noodle I had was instantly cooked with fresh vegetables instead of scooping a precooked beef in a satay sauce. A crispy and juicy inside pan fried chicken was lightly marinated and salted. No MSG (or not noticeable) was used. I would say this is the best HK style restaurant in Vancouver west.

One of the better food places around VGH. I think they are best at doing meat dishes like curry beef brisket, their various steaks (chicken, beef, pork), and pork chops. Portions are always generous and I can’t usually finish it.

This particular fish dish felt a bit lacking in flavour. Probably won’t get it again and stick to their meat dishes.
