Food was good, the beef tartar sushi roll is really good. The platter tray with cheese, Bulgogi, corn and rice was okay (I’m pretty sure it’s the main selling item) could be a little more sizzled…

I had the absolute best experience with Choy and Sean. They served our table so well, very knowledgeable about the menu and provided us with the best suggestions. Even the food tasted better because of the two servers we had. The food was great and amazing atmosphere.

Great quality of food. Accessible location, not too loud atmosphere. The service was great. I believe her name is Seoyoung who was so nice and friendly to us. Willing to visit Sooda again in the near future.

I discovered this restaurant just a couple of weeks ago and have already been back three times that's how good it is. The food is incredibly fresh and full of flavor, the service is consistently excellent, and the atmosphere is lively and welcoming. Whether you're out for a casual meal or a fun night with friends, this place delivers every time. If you’re in Gastown, this is the spot to eat. Highly recommended!

A Deeply Disappointing Experience at Sooda Korean BBQ – Brentwood For Mother’s Day, I ordered food via DoorDash from Sooda Korean BBQ for my 80-year-old mother and aunt. Both women are recently widowed, and my aunt is recovering from cancer. I wanted them to enjoy a warm meal and feel cared for on what is an emotionally difficult day. Unfortunately, one of the items — the bean sprouts — tasted “off,” and shortly after, my aunt developed foodborne gastroenteritis. We reported this to Sooda. Management seemed apologetic and offered a $20 gift card as a gesture of goodwill. It wasn’t much, but we appreciated the effort. A month later, my mom and aunt decided to give Sooda another chance and dined in person. When my mom presented the gift card and explained the previous incident, the server took the card, swiped it, and came back saying: “There’s zero dollars on this.” That was it. No apology. No follow-up. Nothing. My mom was left embarrassed. She had wanted to treat her sister to lunch and instead was made to feel like she was doing something wrong. I would’ve walked out. But she stayed and paid. That’s how Sooda handles food poisoning and customer complaints — with empty gestures and no accountability. You’ve lost a customer permanently, and I’m just warning others of this horrible, horrible experience. Avoid Sooda Brentwood.
Suk is my favourite waiter.
But all the servers are amazing, and tend to the customers needs. Our cups of water were never empty.
These shots were so good. If you come to Vancouver, this is a must try.
I have never had a bad meal here.
Try the sooda box and sundubu . You won’t be disappointed

Had an amazing time tonight at Sooda with our server Sook. We came in for a birthday dinner and forgot to tell him, but we mentioned it as we were leaving and he gave us the most amazingly delicious shots. Also the food was spectacular, as always!

So full, really good. Tasted the whole menu. Luckily there was eight of us to finish all the items. Favorite was the Sooda box and noodle. The SOODA Special is a must try.

Came here during the atmosphere river event. Was empty during the late afternoon. The decor of this place is very lively. We had the fried chicken and French fries. Both were delicious dishes. Could only image how lively this joint would be when it's packed. Would definitely be a nice social place to enjoy with friends

Please make Gluten free food options! Lactose free food options!
We can’t visit anymore since they removed plain samgyupsal bbq from the menu.
We have been going here for the Samgyupsal because they have the best tasting one and since there are no other item I can have due to celiac disease(고추장 gochujang and 간장 soy sauce usually contain gluten - Kimchi too if they use 밀 풀 instead of 찹쌀/쌀풀). The samgyupsal at Sooda was the only thing in the city that made me feel less homesick and made Sooda Brentwood our favourite restaurant in Vancouver. It’s been really sad for us since the change of menu.
Dietary restrictions: Not enough options for those who cannot eat gluten for various health reasons.
