Sooyo means “awesome” in Taiwanese and it does not fall short. It’s a cute quiet, and calm coffee shop that reminds you of the lofi girl you used to study to in university. The food is off the charts, staff is lovely, and has views of the downtown skyline. Unreal spot.

Lovely homey and cosy cafe! Enjoyed the Kaya croissant, rose latte and egg tart ? I grew up eating Kaya toast and it’s been years since I’ve had this delicious coconut jam - this Kaya tasted less sweet than what I grew up with so this was a great update and had a great molasses taste with coconut ? the egg tart was very creamy and eggy! The rose latte was also very floral and comforting ! Would love to come back and try the rest of their menu like the seafood chowder and sandwiches (I visited on a Monday but they had a very limited menu)!
Parking: Cafe is in a residential area, parking is available along the street

Quaint little cafe in the middle of a residential area. We ordered the carbonara pasta, egg salad sandwich and a London dog. Everything was delicious. Have been here a few times and never disappoints.

We arrived just a few minutes before closing for the first time visit. Cappuccino were great as well as the freshly made tart we shared. Will have to go back and try other stuff on the menu. Cute cozy little neighborhood Cafe.

A cup of Americano coffee tastes very bland. The decoration inside is relatively warm.

My favorite neighborhood cafe in rupert-renfrew area! It’s located within a residential area so it’s very unique. Small but lovely vibe on a sunny day. Good menu of selected brunch items - Korean inspired brunch menu of pasta and sandwiches. Highly recommended!

Very cozy and cute cafe in a quiet and chill neighborhood, run by a Korean-Taiwanese couple. Really enjoyed the mushroom pasta and Kaya toast that I had. I’ll definitely be back!

A lovely and quaint neighbourhood cafe. More places like this should be nestled into every neighbourhood, it’s homey and has lovely calming vibes to it!
Excellent service and very friendly staff! Ordering a coffee here is great. Also tried the carbonara for lunch and it was quite good! Has a good creamy taste and the ham matches perfectly with it. It’s plated really nicely and elegantly. Coffee has good flavour and has strong depth.
Will come back again. It’s a nice nestled neighbourhood cafe in East Vancouver and worth checking out.

Such a cute cafe! I'm a big foodie and can't recommend enough the food and drinks. Tried the iced rose latte, kaya croissant (? coconut jam), and Sooyo croissant (fig, pear, brie cheese). I selected those items since the combo of sweet and salty/savory is my fav. So delicious!!! Wish I lived closer to try more but will be back. The cafe has such a warm cozy vibe and a window facing east so it gets nice warm morning light. Service was kind and polite. Not too busy at 9am on a long weekend Saturday.
