Love their kaya toast. Such a hidden jam in my neighborhood that I'm glad I found!

We tried out this cute neighborhood cafe and it didnt disappoint! Got the truffle mushroom croissant and dirty chai. Food and drink was made fresh and flavours were well balanced.
Will definitely have to go back to try more items :)

Overpriced, barely warm coffee. Very disappointing
I really really want to like this cafe as I am a fan of the location. I am a fan of the location of the outdoor seating. There's a lot of outdoor shades. Unfortunately, the cons far outweight pros.
Pros
- Lots of shade at their outdoor seating especially when you come in the afternoon
- Friendly workers
Cons
- The iced Americano that I paid $5 for was very watered down. The flavor was bland. The ice had already melted when it was handed to me. It was not worth a premium price. Sadly to say, The McDonald's Iced coffee tasted way better and at an unbeatable value.
- The outdoor chairs are really uncomfortable. They have no cushioning for your bottom nor any cushioning for your back. There's no way you can sit down comfortably for an hour to enjoy your drink. Not that I wanted to anyway cause the Iced Americano was so watery.
I like the workers. I like the location of the outdoor seating but the iced americano was not good and it's the only iced coffee beverage I drink so it's unlikely that I will return.
Cute little cafe hidden in the East Van neighborhood near Parker Street/Windermere. Food is AMAZING and they really put effort into their dishes. Highly recommend the pasta dishes (all are great) as well as their croissants.

Zero star review . I understand, having the policy of customers only for the washroom. But my 5 year old nephew (who is a regular customer, just like myself and friends and family) was told he could not use the washroom because we were not customers . He couldn’t hold it and peed outside the door. I will never return to Sooyo cafe. They have lost us as regular customers !!

Food does NOT come out looking like it does in the pictures... Portion was small, unsatisfying, and looked/tasted like something I could make at home. The vast majority of pictures where the food actually looks good are at least 6 months old... I wonder if this place changed owners within the last 6 months.

Croissants were yummy! My salmon cream cheese croissant didn't have much cheese in it but the ham and cheese was delicious. Matcha was too grainy and sweet though :(

Cozy little neighbourhood cafe. Ordered the Rosé Pasta and Passionfruit Earl Grey Iced Tea. Food was amazing, the quality of ingredients and richness of the sauce was totally unexpected. Staff were lovely and food arrived quickly for me. They also have a self serve water station which I appreciated!
