I enjoyed a delicious stew for the main meal and a baked dessert. Both were good sized portions, and the volunteer staff were friendly and enthusiastic. I’m going to make this a regular lunch spot when I’m in the area.

A non-for-profit vegan cafe on campus, with the goal of combatting food insecurity. Very affordable meals, coffee, tea, and baked goods. My favourite is the apple cake. You can request a free meal if needed, no questions asked. I often come by for a cheap coffee and sweet treat!

Great volunteer-run café, with a cute vibe. Had to wait half an hour for pancakes because the griddle was slow, but I recommend the carrot lox toast.
I used to come here often as a student, especially for the cheap coffee and vegan baked goods. So happy that a place like this exists. The food is cheap and healthy, but often pretty bland.

I love going here! UBC sprouts is a volunteer-run café with great food, coffee/tea and desserts. they're located on the basement floor of the life building, just a little past the gym. everything is vegan at the time of writing this too :)
