Just incredible. Couldn't have asked for a better evening. All the staff was kind and made the atmosphere warm and inviting. Every single thing we were served was beautiful and delicious. What a special experience!

Beautiful experience, a true experience. The wine pairings were excellent! Service was excellent!! You get 4 courses - each with a wine pairing and an aperitif.

I honestly couldn’t tell the difference between the main course and the appetizer. On top of that, the dishes were overly salty and very disappointing. For this price, the food felt far from worth it — just very ordinary, common dishes dressed up as something more

For the price point I will expect the food taste to be more surprising. It’s standard overall

This has been on our list for a while, even before they received their Michelin star. We made a reservation well in advance for their first seating and had a table by the window. The restaurant is small, but it has a good feel, decorated with a tasteful Canadiana style.

The menu right now is four-courses and costs $130 per person. Cocktails or mocktails will add another $15+ dollars, or you can choose from their wine list.

The meal started with a complimentary bread and house-made butter. The one piece of bread (for two people) reminded me of a French onion soup - comforting and full of caramelized onions. Next I chose the egg custard with sturgeon and my wife had the wagyu beef tartare. Both dishes were clean and delicious and had a mixture of soft and firmer textures. Next, I choose the chicken stuffed morels over peas and my wife had the corn soufflé. The morels were a seasonal dish and an interesting concept, but the peas were a the star of the dish. The corn soufflé, however, was a perfect mix of corn preparations, accompanied with side stripe prawns. This was probably our favourite dish of the evening.

For the next course, we had the trout and chowder and the pithvier. The trout and chowder dish was comforting and very satisfying, but the pithvier was a little dry and the flavours were a little one-note. To finish the meal, we had the rice pudding for two. At a Michelin starred restaurant, this felt like the chef saying, “I don’t care what you think, this is a delicious dish and it’s going on the menu”…and it was delicious and rich, but not a light way to finish the meal.

Overall, we were satisfied and full, but we felt that the chef played it fairly safe with the menu. Familiar flavours, rich and comforting food, but nothing that really wowed us. As time goes by, I’ll remember it was a good meal, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to recall signature stamps on the food.

In addition to this, we have been to Michelin starred restaurants before and received exceptional service and some surprising extras. At one restaurant, we received chocolates to take home, at another, it was a lemon loaf. At others, there were fun surprises between courses, or a personalized menu to take home. The servers were kind, but we never felt at home or like we were valued guests. This was surprising for a one-star restaurant.

Overall, we did enjoy our meal, but I think the reality did not meet our expectations.

Excellent service in a lovely space. Great view of the kitchen from the chef's table. Green salad with the steak main course was underwhelming. Pork rind was delicious as an add on to the tasting menu.

The little corner restaurant has been around for a while , even through COVID. Glad they not only made it, but now also a Michelin recognition.

Now the menu focus more on tasting menu. $120 was the tasting menu set. I went for A la carte. Still be expect to pay $$$ . For 3 dishes, no alcohol, my tab was still close to $100.

You MUST get the pork rind. It is my fave. It has that sweet and savory flavor .

I had Terrine de homard & bisque - lobster bisque dish. It was 👍👍👍

Soufflé au maïs, crevettes & Alfred le Fermier 👍👍👍

Mostly really good food. It's going to sound weird, but the French onion bread dish is probably one of the best things I've ever eaten.

Definitely heavy on French / quebecois ingredients, as you would expect, in the hands of a very talented chef.

This is not a cheap meal - expect well north of 200.00 per person if you have drinks. But it's a lovely occasion.

We went here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and picked a bar seat for an 8pm booking.

We arrived on time, but were made to wait 20 minutes because they had clearly overbooked the restaurant. The premises are tiny, so we were forced to stand by the door for 20 minutes, having to get out of the way of people coming and going.

Once we were finally seated, we ordered the tasting menu with wine pairings. The bartender was our server but, as it was a hot day, he was clearly struggling with the heat and he was sweating a lot.

The food was very good, though it should be at the prices this restaurant charges. The carpaccio was delicious. The issue we had was with the wine pairings, bearing in mine that it's an extra $85 for this option. We saw the sommelier busy serving other tables their pairings and discussing the wines with other diners. We, rather unfortunately, had the bartender serving us the wine and he didn't really know anything about them at all. He was reading the details from a tablet in front of him and clearly knew nothing about the origins of the wines, or how they pair with the food beyond what was written in front of him. I'm no snob, but when I'm paying $85 for pairings, I at least expect the individual that's serving it to know what they're talking about. To top it off, when the bill arrived, the minimum suggested tip was 20%. Suffice to say, it was manually adjusted down because I've had better service at restaurants that charge a quarter of the prices we paid at St. Lawrence.

The last thing I'd like to note about this restaurant was the temperature. It had been a hot day, but there is no air conditioning in the restaurant. It was boiling in there with the exposed kitchen. All in all, we paid over $500 for two people and left sweating and needing a shower. I don't know how you can charge that much for food and not have basic HVAC. The staff were clearly struggling with the heat, too.

I feel bad for the chefs posting this review, because the food was very, very good. But between standing waiting for 20 minutes, being served wine by someone who clearly didn't know what he was doing and feeling far too hot throughout the meal, all while paying over $500 for the privilege, St. Lawrence unfortunately didn't leave a great taste in our mouths.

Very mediocre Michelin one star restaurant. 135 per person and the most impressive dish is the Wagyu tartar. Main dish of sablefish and hen are not one star Michelin standard.

The pairing costs 85 but super disappointing. Totally not worth it. They should definitely up their wine game.

My wide and I loved the meal and the service. The presentation and quality of the food were top notch. It is extremely expensive however so might not go back. I do recommend the escargot! Amazing
