My friends and I ordered drinks at this Starbucks, and the staff member taking our order wasn’t paying attention, resulting in the wrong drinks being given to us. When we pointed out the mistake, the two baristas started speaking in their language, assuming we couldn’t understand. I highly recommend avoiding this location. The staff was disappointing, and management really needs to improve their customer service training

I was a regular customer there. I work in this area and always buy coffee here. Just passed by today and asked them to use the washroom. They denied it until I bought something. I said- I'm your regular customer, just need the washroom for now... but NO, buy something first... I'm not your customer anymore. There are lots of good coffees around, much better than in Starbucks

I went to this place to order a Brown Sugar Oat Shaken Espresso Venti Size with light ice (it's worth mentioning that I order it like this because otherwise they fill your glass with ice and only give you two sips of coffee and you finish it) because let's be honest we pay for the coffee and not for a glass full of ice, anyway they gave me my venti size 3/4 full and when I complained because it wasn't full the employee told me that if I asked for it with little ice the new policy said that they had to give me the glass unfilled and even then it came with ice 😂😂😂 it's ridiculous how they lose customers because of this type of service where you buy a size and they give it to you unfilled because you don't want the half kilo of ice they put in and when you finish your drink you are only left with a glass full of ice that takes up the entire volume anyway this was my last purchase from this coffee brand I will never buy again

I stopped by around 8PM to use the washroom and was abruptly told it’s “for customers only” and the code is only printed on a receipt. I asked politely, was well dressed, and have never been treated this poorly at any other Starbucks.

With no real choice, I was pressured into buying an overpriced canned sparkling water—just so the staff could manually write the code on my receipt. It felt like I was forced to make a purchase. Completely unacceptable.

I took a cup for drinking water, a waiter immediately blamed me ‘you can’t grab a cup!’. This is the only Starbucks I’d experienced with a very mean service man, unbelievable! I will never comeback to this Starbucks.

Not specific to this location, but indeed happened in this location more than half of the time I went.
If you cannot spell my name correctly, dont bother to even ask my name. I literally spell it out every time and they still manage to write everything wrong. At this point I really felt like they did this intentionally.

Staff was really so rude, especially a aged lady . They didn’t treat me with a smile on their face. This is the worst location of Starbucks. All other locations where I visited are really fabulous and treat nicely. I request please take step about this aged lady service , today is 20 June 2025, she is on a morning shift I visited around 7.05 am.

Really great staff and amazing service but unfortunately Starbucks has made it impossible to want to get anything there anymore. A Trenta drink comes half full without ice, and I know it’s policy but for a 7-8 dollar drink I’m not enthused. Really disappointing.

Today just before noon, I stopped in and ordered a brown sugar oat shaken espresso with light ice. There were three employees behind the counter. I paid and moved down the line as usual.

As my drink was being made, I noticed the cup was more than halfway filled with ice—despite specifically requesting light ice. I politely flagged this, hoping the excess ice could simply be scooped out. Instead, the drink was discarded and remade, which unnecessarily extended the wait.

When the second version was handed over, the venti cup was left an inch to an inch and a half from the top. I clarified that I hadn't asked for room to be left and expected the cup to be filled. The barista responded that it was due to the lesser amount of ice. I reiterated my expectation: a full drink, as ordered, regardless of ice level. If there’s an upcharge involved, I’m happy to pay for it—but don’t short the order and assume that’s acceptable.

At this point, another (smaller-framed) employee stepped in and asked what was going on. I explained the issue: too much ice, and now an underfilled drink. Her response? “Normally we charge for that, but we won’t this time—it’s an exception.” That statement is wildly inappropriate in the context of a service error that already required correction—twice. Any team member trained in basic customer service should know not to imply the customer is being done a favor after a mistake.

As I told them directly, it is not the customer’s responsibility to know the ins and outs of Starbucks’ drink-building logic. That’s the employee’s job. If there’s ambiguity, ask clarifying questions. Don’t default to arguing or assuming. I’m not here to train your team—yet that’s exactly what it felt like.

For comparison, the Cambie & 41st location handles orders like this far more professionally, always double-checking details with the customer and delivering consistent quality. That’s the baseline I expect from any Starbucks.

Management, please treat this as a learning opportunity. Your team needs more training in both customer interaction and basic service etiquette to avoid issues like this in the future.

My daughter was alone and needed the bathroom urgently, and they wouldn't let her use it. Very disappointed in their customer service, they lack basic humanity. We buy Starbucks often, and she even had a Starbucks app showing previous orders from this location. Shame on you Starbucks.

Came in a while ago to get some water whilst out and about with friends, the barista told us that we were required to purchase something and could not get water on its own. Very disappointed with the customer service.
