Price was too high for what the food was in quantity and quality. Good ingredients were used, but seasoned blandly. Based on images shared on Google reviews, the portions seem to have significantly shrunk.
I left feeling this experience was highly overrated and I would have rather spent my money on a different experience.

Really wanted to like this place but it was a mixed experience. Service was good and cocktails were quite good. The octopus carpaccio was very good, the duck decent. The chicken skin waffles and gizzards were a big let down - cold and super tough like they have been sitting in the fridge for two days prior to serving. Bone marrow was average. The soft shell crab similarly did not taste fresh - like it was prepared 8 hours earlier and kept in a bin. Ambiance is nice… wish some of the dishes were fresher and had more attention given to them.

Ordered the soft shell crab, lamb neck, bone marrow, and lamb sweetbreads as well as a blackberry coconut mocktail. Standouts for me were everything except the bone marrow which i found a bit greasy (but maybe that’s typical as I’ve never tried it before ). Wish I had enough time to try the uni panacotta but will have to come back!

I’m surprised at how under the radar Straight & Marrow is! They have a small, well-curated menu and each dish is beautifully presented and executed. We got the escargot toast, the soft shell crab, the bone marrow and the duck breast. Make sure you get the brandy luge with the bone marrow - so fun! We were also very impressed with all the cocktails and the service was impeccable.
