The haunted house was amazing!! I wasn’t expecting such high production value but it was really impressive. Their beers aren’t bad either ??
A great Vancouver brewery. No matter what season you visit, they have a great selection of beer and food to enjoy. Merchandise of course rotates, but don’t be afraid to ask for something.
If you visit, be sure to try a flight of their beers!
Was there for the Halloween haunted house and it was awesome! Very dark and claustrophobic, it was very different from others that I have experienced before.
After the haunted house, there I went to have some beers which are great!
I came for the Halloween season, and the haunted house, and I was surprised by how good it was! I love the atmosphere and how well the haunted house was made. Amazing!
Listen, the drinks here are great. The merch and design/branding is great. The staff are friendly. The food is admittedly delicious, but the price per portion is… askew. After having a couple of $15 dishes that were disappointingly small (putting aside how tasty they were, I would describe them as “a handful of broccoli and a cheese bun”) we decided to order the “baby pretzel party” to tide us over - we actually burst out laughing when this $6 handful of Rolled Gold mini pretzels came out. Go here for the beer, absolutely. But if you are hungry - plan to eat somewhere else.
It's hard for me to give this spot 3 stars. It serves 5 for the food alone but the service left much to be desired. I'll start with the good.
- the food. Hands down one of the best meals I've had in my life. A chef friend recommended a reservation for a set menu so that's what we did, and every course was inspired, flavorful, and over the top beautiful presentation. We were awed.
-the chef. This guy did everything. Ran every plate to our table, removed every plate, told the story behind each dish. He did literally everything, I've never seen that before. Which is weird to me.
So the bad...the service. We were not greeted at the door, a few staff were behind the bar chatting and we had to interrupt them to explain we had a reservation. We were basically ignored for the rest of the meal, we aren't big drinkers and I get its a brewery but to act as if we didn't exist because we were only eating felt strange. As I mentioned, the service team did no quality checks, didn't remove any dirty plates or even check if we wanted the bill. We had to stand up and go to the bar to pay. We spent over $500 amongst our group so we kind of expected some attention to detail from their staff.
But I want to go out by saying that the food made up for all of this. The meal was nothing short of amazing, and I highly recommend eating their and especially their chef's tasting menus. It was wild. If they had competent front of house staff this wouldve been the best dining experience I've had in years. Hope you make some changes!
We’ve been fans of Strange Fellows ever since we tried Poppin Jay in 2020. We would frequent the brewery, which offers both inside and outside seating. Recently the menu has been overhauled and if I had a say in it, I would at least put this place on the Michelin guide. The new menu is phenomenal, with very niche Asian inspired items, every choice is a culinary treat. The service remains friendly and welcoming. I love the etiquette guidelines posted in the brewery. The ambiance remains chill, yet warm and welcoming. Congratulations to the management team for truly elevating the experience. Well done.

A cool place to stop on the classic brewery tour in Vancouver is this fantastic spot with a great selection of beers (with a European flair), house-made wine, and cider. They also host cool events throughout the year—like the unforgettable Dead Fellows Halloween event and Krampusmarkt. It’s worth checking out! Currently, they have an amazing chef Doug Lee who makes the most delicious food. We go several times a week. Run, don’t walk there!

Great spot for foodies, chef is doing some creative delicious things. And beer is amaze
Nice brewery with good beer & a nice atmosphere they had a person playing guitar for music today instead of a playlist which created a chill vibe. Seating inside & out. I recommend their Krampus event, photos with Krampus (a local charity benefits) and a craft fair.
So, I come to Strange Fellows often, I love the beer. I love the outdoor parties and the art. They’ve got a guest chef and I’m sure they’re making some sort of commentary on, well Ill let them tell me but the buns with candy dipping sauce…it affected me, I felt emotions..Im still thinking about it…yah, I guess Im left speechless about it
This place is so weird. Creepy people work here
