The cashier was not very friendly. Such a racist! She asked the asian lady to serve me(asian). The pride slice cakes looked good. But my kid had only one bite. I believe I can do the dishes with that. It was super dry like a sponge. The worst cake ever!!!horrible!!!

We're in love with the chocolate mousse cake from Stuart's Bakery. Truthfully, we havn't tried very much else from their bakery besides their chocolate mousse cake. It's one of our favorite chocolate mousse cakes anywhere. It can also be found at Max's Deli on Oak St. at 16th as they are a sister shop to Stuart's Bakery. It's so smooth, chocolatey and decadent. There are lots of nice treats to be found on Granville Island but I think this chocolate mousse cake is always going to be #1 for us!Service: GoodParking: Paid parking on Granville IslandLocation: 1689 Johnston St., Vancouver, BC

We got a Japanese Cream Puff and a Lemon meringue tart and both were clearly frozen. The cream puff filling was still crunchy with ice. Not freshed baked at all.

We ended up going here because our favourite shop was sold out, however the staff was so rude to the point she told usbto hurry up and we quickly decided on random things then I asked if I could order some cookies as well and she got even more annoyed by our order and told the othet staff that it all should’ve been ordered at once. Horrible customer service and to think this a tourist destination. She kind of ruined our day with her poor customer service.

Everything looked so delicious, it was hard to choose! I ended up getting the maple cheesecake something out my comfort zone. It was smooth and creamy. Definitely recommend!!!

After waiting patiently for 5 minutes, I interrupted the two women who were deep in conversation totally ignoring customers. Ordered what I wanted, then after she retrieved it from the cabinet, her conversation resumed, after a minute, I thought how rude can you possibly be, said forget about it and left.Maybe they could find a job that didn't cost the owner money and interrupt their social life.

Only got the Nanaimo bar from here. It was pretty good.

Complete tourist trap. Japanese Cream Puff looks like it could be good but was actually awful — outside pastry was bland and tasted like cardboard, cream inside was still frozen and equally insipid. For 7 bucks there is far, far better in Vancouver, even at Granville Island.

[Features] Nanaimo Bars is a specialty snack in British Columbia, Canada. It became popular in the town of Nanaimo on Victoria Island. The Chinese in Canada call it "Grandma Bar". It has a thick chocolate layer on top and a little cream in the middle. It feels like a custard, with a compressed layer of almond chocolate at the bottom. Fortunately, the upper layer of chocolate is not very sweet when you bite into it. The sweetness is all in the custard layer below, so it can neutralize the sweetness, but if you can It would be even better with hot tea. A variety of baked goods are also sold on site, and the almond croissants are also good. The peanut candy is made on site, and the small portion is 8oz. Just buy a small portion and taste it.[Service] Packed to order. When you go to the market, you just need a bite of snacks. If you drink a bite, you can wrap up the food for me!

Went yesterday and brought a family member to the GV market and came here to grab a cannoli and a dessert I can't remember the name of. The price was very expensive but the pastries were terrible... the cannoli was extremely stale and very dry. The second dessert had little chocolate covered cream puffs inside with whipped cream and caramel and once again the cream puffs were very dry and stale and the whipped cream was dry and off. I would suggest walking past the bakery and grabbing something else.Note: in the past ive gotten the flattened round cookies they're usually alright so maybe those are the only thing to get.

We have been going to Stuart’s bakery for 5 years. Today was a very disappointing visit and for the first time we did not walk away buying anything. We were there around noon and half of the shelves were empty. There were no Black Forest cakes, florentines, & no chocolate mousse cake. I could list many other regular items that were unavailable but those were the three we really wanted. Unfortunately, the service was also underwhelming and not helpful. May need to find another favourite bakery…
