I've been going to this Subway for 8-10 years and also order for work events. I am visibly Indigenous/ First Nations and bring my two dogs with me. The service has been great until today! I arrived to Subway at 1095 Hornby Street 5:10pm and said hello and a Subway representative came from behind the store and did not say hello but rather went directly to the cashier till saying I'll take your order here. I replied, you want me to pay first? She replied, I'll start your order here first! So I said I've never had to pay before making my sub and I asked her if she was new at this Subway and she said, no! She then left the till to make my sandwich as I pulled out my debit card and I said to her that the ATM scanner was not showing sale amount so I could tap? I believe she realized it was a mistake to ask me to pay first because a friend of mine came into Subway and I talked to him about paying first and he said no I've never had to. I cannot believe she asked me if I wanted anything else after making my sandwich because I'm not going to pay twice! I usually buy a couple of boxes of cookies however after being discriminated against by this young girl I highly doubt I will be back. You should NEVER judge a book by its cover.

food is typical of subway, but they didn't accept coupons. why doesn't the store that has the word subway on it accept the coupon that has the word subway on it?

We asked for grilled but she did it only for 5 sec which not even little bit warm spending almost 13 dollars and get this kind of food to eat not worth it at all they need a good staff who follows customer instructions not do what they wanna do

Amazing Customer Service at Subway (1095 Hornby St.)

Subway has been one of my favorite meals for many years. Even though I’ve had some mixed experiences at different locations, I always come back because I genuinely enjoy their food.

Today, for the first time, someone actually offered me a solution when I asked a question.

I always ask if they have any spicy options, since sometimes they offer spicy chicken or beef. And almost every time, I also ask the person making my sandwich: “Which protein would you recommend between this one and that one?” The answer I usually get—99% of the time—is: “I don’t know.”

But today was different. A kind and friendly girl (Tuesday, March 4th, at 11 AM) helped me with a big smile on her face. When I asked what she recommended, she didn’t just say “I don’t know.” Instead, she told me they didn’t have spicy options, but she offered to make my sandwich spicy by adding hot sauce, spicy cheese, and jalapeños—she actually looked for ways to give me what I wanted.

This small act of kindness truly made my day!

Pretty bad customer service. We came in the restaurant and asked for washroom pin, without knowing she asked us washroom is not for you. Dirty washroom and she didn’t change the gloves, using same gloves for everyone

Expect we reached there at 11.20. pm but the door was locked and the close timing was 12am…. Not at all ,, he closed it at 11.20 not justified at all … this is the worst customer, I have ever seen

The service is insanely slow, only one person working. I waited for my mobile order, it took half an hour. You need to hire another person to handle the volume of orders, this is not a new problem.
